I never believed Natalia's "concern" for Valara's safety because she thought her ex- was a dangerouus creep. Instead, as Nick himself pointed out, the green envy bug was still biting at Natalia, and she was actually stalking rather than protecting.

I was also surprised that Natalia was still sleeping with her ex-. I never believed Natalia's "concern" for Valera's. Nick sensed the same thing, as his passing reference to Natalia "looking so good in green". The little green envy bug was still nibbling at Natalia, and I think was stalking, not protecting Valera.

My question is, if it truely is "Horatio's lab," then wouldn't the night shift work for him to? And how would you like to work on the night shift with the day shift always solving everything or blowing the lab up? Boy...I think that working the night shift in the Miami CSI lab would be just about the worst job ever.

My God this was such a bad episode on so many levels: sup-par writing and plot, ham-handed acting (and not just by Caruso), and a boring story with so many holes in it you knew Natalia and Valera didn't do it. This show has never been perfect and personally I am a little tired of the stupid one-liners that open every episode of every CSI, but Miami has always been a lot of fun, and the stories were also well-written. That has not been the case this season. The only really good actors on this show are Emily Procter and Khandi Alexander they rarely get enough screen time. Two other things bugged me about this episode: if the night shift is so damned incompetant then why do they have jobs; didn't Natalia and Valera lie to an investigator and impede an investigation? At the very least Natalia and Valera should be suspended if not fired; yet all we get is another touchy-feel session with Horatio the Great. Come on, is just a little realism too much to ask!

I thought it was stupid and predicatable. Please-they made it out to be more than it was. I really hate Nat and delko they should just write off-PR Zoolander that he is.

This was a really horrible episode. Why? Because it had the potential to be great; stolen evidence, a dead ex-boyfirend, Natalia arrested, her "fluids" found in his bed, that annonying homicide detective with blinders, and the night shift taking care of business. But by the time the second half rolled along it was clear they took the easy way out. The whole 'B' investigation felt tacked on to solve the 'A' one, nothing new there.

Nick Townsend was an ass, you really hated him, which is why he was a great character to kill. But not like this. If they had tweaked it so Nick was setting up Natalia, or even better Delko for the thefts and wound up dead in the process it would have been all the better. The guy had loose fingers and was living beyond his means, who knows who he might have owed money too? You could sting in a gang, organized crime, or even drug dealers (Another way to loop in Delko). that way The night shift only really had one or two scenes when they could have been playing the whole "We get the real work done while you look pretty" card throughout the episode. Delko's a pretty boy with a temper, Natalia's nosy and Valera's attracted to danger. Play up those traits even more! Heck you could string that all out into an actual two-parter over who really killed Nick Townsend, make it interesting and never letting up till the end that Natalia, Valera or Delko was the actual culprit.

Jonothan must have a hard on for this show since he rarely gives a bad review unlike his review of the true CSI (Vegas). This episode was just plain bad. It would have been better if Natalie really did kill her husband in the end and that way they could get rid of her bad acting and cut her character off. This show has lost it's mojo and just repeats the same thing every week. Their clothes budget must be big!! At least with CSI, it's variety. If they killed of Delko and Nat the show would be much better-i like whoever called Delko a PR Zoolander!!! Right on the money. Idiot that he is. He can't act either. God forbid "H" goes away and Delko runs the lab. This show really is trying to get to the 12-18 crowd. I think I will stick with Dexter-can't wait for season 2!

I agree with the above comments. This was truly the worst CSI: Miami I’ve ever seen. (I don’t know what the author of the above review was on when he was watching…Pot? LSD?) The whole episode was half assed. The plot was written half assed. The acting was half assed. This episode was so bad, because it had potential to be interesting…

If the night time CSI is so incompetent, why are they still employed? Why wasn’t H taken to task by his boss for hiring such an incompetent night team?

It was totally lame that Valera “confessed” to killing Nick. Come on! She like 90 lbs! Tiny Valera “pushed” the 250 lbs, ex con, abusive husband Nick? And this tough guy who survived prision was KILLED by a mere shove?

The fight scene between Nick and Delko was so choreographed and fake. You could see on their faces, the actors counting their steps. (step forward, swing…step back…count one, two…step forward, swing) And the dialog leading up to the fight…I’ve heard better dialog on soap operas--or Arnold Schwarzenegger films.

The whole story ended too conveniently. Wrapped up with a neat, boring little bow. The show was a total let down.

I have to agree with the comments above. What the hell was the reviewer thinking?? He must be on something cause this was a very bad episode. Maybe he gives good reviews to this show because he want us to comment on how bad it is. The good reviews should be going to CSI Vegas. I never expected on their last show for the scene with the package. At least CSI Vegas is real and keeps you guessing. Miami is just the same thing over and over. It's not just the bad acting but the story could have been great. I agree Natalie should have killed him in the end. It would have made a better plot and then her ass would be going to jail and a trial would have to start. That would have been a great storyline-but no they have to give us the same ole crap. They made it out to be good in the previews but it was just horrible. The fight scene could have been done way better. Delko needs to be fired for so many reasons. Good way to get him off the show. His character is lame. I can tell when he is waiting for his signal to say his line. On a scale of 1-10-10 being the best. This show is a 3.

I looked forward to seeing this episode since I saw the teasers at the end of last week's show. I've come to love all of the CSI shows, because they send up a challenge to try to solve the crime along with the characters. When the character of Nick first appeared - and it was said that it was for a limited time - and, especially after we found out that Nick was Natalia's ex - I kept saying that it was going to end with Nick's murder and Natalia being accused. I think that David Caruso has finally found his "groove", because he'd failed at other series. I enjoy his Lone Ranger attitude (or is it "David and Goliath"?). I also seem to think that there might be something going on between Emily Proctor's and Jonatha Togo's characters. I mean, Ryan is definitely infatuated with Calleigh, even though Calleigh is very good at maintaining a professional attitude. It was really nice to see some of the lesser characters get a chance to shine. I also like the bumbling Jake and the Graveyard Shifts with this case. Maybe it has something to do with personal body rhythms or something, but, give Jake's past relationship with Calleigh and his own inflated ego, I couldn't but help love seeing Horatio and Crew stick it to them. We could use a lot more shows like the CSIs instead of the so-called reality shows.

I loved this epsode just like ALL of the others. Either you just love "H" and the Miami team or you do not. And, even if it is Horatio's lab he would not be in charge of both shifts - there would be both day and night supervisors just like in CSI:Vegas.

I agree that this was not the best episode, but I actually do not care.

I'm just glad the ex-husband wife abuser is gone- put Rob Estes in a "good guy" role. I still love David as Horatio no matter what, though.

CSI Miami is the WORST one of all. None of the actors can act on it and it's a big joke and that's why it's so made fun of on the radio. It's a Miami Vice wannabe and DELKO (Adam Rodriguez) and H (Daviod Caruso) are the worst.

I love this show. CSI Las Vegas is getting boring now that I've seen it. I love Horatio. I think David Caruso portrays him well. He's supposed to be the guy that nothing surprises. This show has more action than the other CSI shows (Not a big fan of the New York spinoff). I have a degree in forensics and in truth the people that run the lab do in fact wear suits (just to clear that up). I'm tired of people saying that the actors don't know how to act when in fact they're more realistic on Miami Than Vegas. I personally would've liked to see Horatio ask Boa Vista to leave though.

Emily Proctor’s character needs some fine tuning. Is she there just because she is good looking? She always looks like she is just reading some lines. She is such a wealth of knowledge in weapons but, correct me if I’m wrong, I think I heard her refer to a Model 1911 Colt 9mm. I’m no weapons expert but, as far as I know, that model was made in 45 cal. for the military. Again, maybe a different episode, she referred to spent bullets scattered around on the ground. Could she have meant cartridge cases or brass. But aside from this, does it annoy anyone else that so often the character with the automatic pistol has to pull the slide to load it for an imminent combat situation. That is what a safety is for. If the weapon has an exposed hammer, such as the .45 mentioned above, cocking the hammer would make it combat ready. If the weapon is chamber loaded and the slide is pulled back, a cartridge would be ejected. At any rate, pulling the slide and releasing it would make sounds which would alert the suspect. (enemy) The director, I suppose, wants the viewer to know that the gun is loaded but this should be assumed considering the situation
