Two and a half months ago, when negotiations between 20th Century Fox and Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane reached a standstill, the writers for the series were told not to report to work. According to Variety, the suits at 20th Century Fox didn't want to stop production midway because a deal was never solidified, despite the fact MacFarlane's contract wasn't up for several months.
Of course, now the writers have lost a bit of time, but hopefully they've all been using their free time to come up with scenarios to follow this sentence: "Remember the time when. . ."
Sorry, that joke was too easy. Actually, I'm a little ashamed for even writing it. Really, I like Family Guy. It's my light and fluffy Sunday night snack, a crunchy wafer to top off the larger meal that is The Simpsons. I guess American Dad would be, I don't know, a box of raisins? I'm having trouble holding this analogy together.

American Dad is = to green bean casarole. Some people really like it, but for the most part, people only partake in it to be polite to the host.
The Simpsons on the otherhand is that hamburger that's been sitting under the heatlamp at the restaurant for oh, 7 years too long.
Family Guy is your favorite cookie, but you went and read the box to see what's in it, and now that you know, you don't enjoy it as much. I blame Matt Stone and Trey Parker for making Family Guy less digestible.

Maybe they'll find human writers, rather than the sea mammals that have been working on Family Guy scripts for the past three years.
(Wake me when Futurama is finally revived...)
