The nominees for the 13th annual Screen Actors Guild awards were announced earlier this morning. Like the Golden Globes, the SAG awards focus on both movies and television. We don't give a darn about the movie nominees (that's what our sister site Cinematical is for), but we very much care for the television nominations. That's because we are, you know, TV Squad. The final category that you show here should read "Comedy Series", not "Drama Series".

Amazing performances over the past year by Edward James Olmos and Mary McDonnell on Battlestar Galactica go, YET AGAIN, unnoticed.
It's really a shame such stigma is attached to sci fi.

Meh...no love for The Wire, BSG or Rescue Me. C'mon, at least The Wire deserves a nomination for Best Ensemble. And where's the nomination for Ian McShane? That guy is the best actor on TV.
I hope Michael C. Hall wins. Screw James Spader. And yeah, since when is that show a DRAMA series??

Boston Legal has been soft this season. idk if i'd give it a cast nomination, but i agree with Spader's nod. BUT despite my love for Mr Spader, Michael C Hall deserves it.

No nods for Battlestar Galactica? That's really frustrating.

Dead on for Alec Baldwin and The Office ensemble. As much as I love Steve Carrell, I think the entire cast has elevated their game to the point where he's not the main reason to watch anymore.
And I'll second no love for BSG being consistent and sad. That said, I've enjoyed Boston Legal this year and think Spader has remained consistently on top of his game with a very unique character. Is it because we're used to his character's personality quirks that it doesn't seem as good an acting job anymore, I wonder?
