I have to admit that I completely forgot that this show even existed, which is probably what happened with a lot of people and the reason why the show has been canceled.
The show debuted in September, and the ratings just kept on a-fallin. NBC Universal, the company that syndicated the show, isn't even going to let them do a final show. They're pulling the plug immediately. They thank everyone for their hard work, blah, blah, blah and they say Mullally is one of the most talented people, blah, blah, blah.
Actually, Mullally is very talented. She's an actress but also has a great singing voice and has released some albums. So it's not like she's going to have to wait at home doing Sudoku puzzles until the producers of Will and Grace do a reunion show. I'm sure she'll find work.
Hey, how about a spinoff featuring her Karen Walker character? I don't know how they'd do that without having Will, Grace, and Jack in there, but it might be pretty funny with some good writing.

I don't know. A lot of stars are given their own talk show, when the world really isn't screaming for a new talk show.

I doubt seriously the Karen Walker character could sustain a show of its own. Yeah, the character was funny in short bursts, but I don't think an entire show created around over-sexed, gin-soaked boozehound would be all that interesting; unless, of course, they're planning to do an American version of Absolutely Fabulous. Mullally would be perfect for either role.

I caught a couple of episodes but the show was just missing something. Megan is a good conversationalist but the show wasn't really set up as a talk show from what I could tell. There was some couches and everyone seemed to be her best friend and they just chatted. It definitely didn't hold my attention enough to even remember when it's on.

I saw some of Monday's episode (at home 'cause of New Year's) - it was okay, but it wasn't interesting. The opening part/monologue was about how she's starting to take souvenirs from the show (she had said something about a painting from Will and Grace, how she had to pay for it, etc). And they showed her "taking" empty sparkletts water bottles and the copier.
The whole time, it was almost as if she was in a skit on SNL - like a parody of what a real talk show host would be talking about. But it wasn't - I mean, yeah, the bit was supposed to be funny, but not where she ends up being like a character on SNL.
I don't know - maybe she played Karen on Will and Grace for too long... she's kind of indistinguishable from that character, which is kind of sad because Karen was not a very nice person...

Yeah, I agree something was definitely missing in the "Just friends sitting around talking on two sofas in front of an audience" format. I really think that part of the issue could be her last name, "Mullally" -from a Marketing standpoint, this may be a mouthful to say/remember, perhaps the show should have been called simply, "Megan and Friends"...

Aww...that's too bad. Hers was one of the few daytime talk shows I actually enjoyed watching. It's amazing how enjoyable she is without that harsh Karen voice grating through the air.

The show wasn't good. Although I read that Mullally wanted it to be like the Mike Douglas Show, Mike's show was interesting. The guests often stayed all together, in short, different times and Mullally was so boring in this...

YES!!! This show blew goats for quarters.
CC-
I caught the exact same intro, and changed the channel. The bit was just sad and embarrassing.
I also caught an episode where she sat with Tom Green, and she handed him some cash for the expensive sweater he bought to be on the show. I think it was supposed to be a joke, but they were both just... sad and embarrassing.

She didn't seem comfortable as a talk show host. It's a shame, because I would have watched it more if I wasn't so embarassed for her.

Yes, Megan Mullally as "Karen" was just a blast and we miss it, and THAT is why many of us even bothered to watch yet another talk show. Turns out, it WAS just another and NOT all that much fun at all, no offense Miss Megan. What I would love seeing is a "Karen & 'Just Jack' Show" too. If we went the cruise line idea [not ALL gay though], a "Love Boat" type could be some variety that TV's been missing since way back when THAT show was so popular. Not to mention a vehicle for some other "not seen recently" TV folk to show off their wares as well as letting current stars stretch their comedic legs. Spoofs of other TV shows can be incorporated within each show, perhaps with Karen or Jack taking on undercover roles for whatever reason. And who wouldn't like to see a little of "Just Jack...2007"? I'm game.

Megan is a very very talented peformer She had a great career on broadway before heading to CA. And I have freinds who have worked with her and comment about what a nice person she is--kind funny and friendly. Can't say I am surprised about the talk show it seemed to be the wrong type of show for her talents Better opportunities are right around the corner I am sure

I realy liked Megan's character on Will and Grace. She was good at it. It seemed to me on her own show she failed to focus on her guests, and wanted the limelight herself. She needed to ask more questions of her guests and talk about herself less.

I like Megan, but not as a talk show host. All I could hear was that "Karen" voice. It grated on my nerves. The show was a slow-moving bore from day one. Sorry, Megan. Not your format.

Bring back a revival of the Broadway show Mame and cast Megan in either the led role or that of Vera Charles. EShe has the talend and the good looks to carry the play. I still remember her one-time shot on Wings from when it was on TV. This is one talented lady who should not just disappear. And yes, a show with her and Sean on TV would be another consideration. Thanks.
