Warner Bros. just released the cover art for the upcoming Venture Bros. Season Two DVDs, and, I must say, it is absolutely amazing. I love the shadowy Hank and Dean being chased by the butterflies. I also like the vintage poster look and how the image is not joke-y at all, but actually really cool.Although the First Season DVDs' simple skull design (and inside art by Bill Sienkiewicz) was nice, I think the new one will make my DVD collection even prettier. And I like pretty things.
The set will include commentary for all the Season Two episodes, deleted scenes, and a tour of the Astrobase (!), the VB creation center on the moon. It will be released April 17th, for $29.95 (if it's anything like last time, I think Amazon will slash it to $20.95-ish for the first few weeks).

Makes me think of Land of the Giants. Please, oh please, oh please, let there be a season three!!! Rumor has it that [as] has ordered 26 more episodes to be produced. I soooo hope that is true.

Yay. Cover art.
Actually, Venture Bros rocks! It's probably my favorite among Adult Swim's original material and I look forward to its release on DVD. But reeaaally not too happy that I have to cool my heels until April before this set finally reaches stores. Season two ended over two months ago...
Amazon is nuts! They took a chainsaw to the first season's pricetag and trimmed it (and a few other Adult Swim titles) down to a miserly $8.99. Sweet deal if you don't have it already and a good opportunity to stuff someone's stocking with some bargain discs.
