While Saved garnered quite a few good reviews, and some respectable ratings, it's no The Closer. And apparently the press and numbers weren't enough to convince TNT that there should be a second season of the Tom Everett Scott drama. Instead, the network is looking to bring two different pilots to series. Holly Hunter stars in Grace as an Oklahoma City police detective who is visited by an angel and given a chance to redeem her life. It also stars Tom Irwin (Related), and Laura San Giacomo (Just Shoot Me). I'll watch anything with Holly Hunter, or Laura San Giacomo, in it at least once, so I plan to tune in when this show takes off. But based just on the tag line, my expectations are low.
Also on the schedule is Heartland. This one stars Treat Williams as the brilliant surgeon, Nathaniel Grant. His dedication to his work causes problems with his health and his relationships. Now, if you are thinking, "Hey, that sounds a whole lot like Everwood." then you and I are on the same page. The show even stars Gage Golightly as his daughter Thea, who doesn't seem so far removed from Delia. Still, Treat Williams is always worth a look. And it has the bonus of Morena Baccarin (Firefly) as well. The show is currently planned to follow The Closer.

Saved was well done. WTF is up with the execs at TNT? Give us somethign new instead of MFing L&O repeats(love all the shows but I watch them on NBC when they originally air). Too bad FX has rescue me. Would be soemthign cool for another network to grab that has soem stones. Maybe Showtime can take it back form basic cable along the lines of Stargate.

Can they please hire the rest of the stellar cast of "Everwood" for this new show? And make Treat grow back his beard? And get Greg Berlanti to write for it?
Boy, the reruns on ABC Family make it clear that by far the dumbest thing "The CW" has done so far (worse than the puke green color scheme) was cancel "Everwood" so it could keep the re-animated corpse of "7th Heaven."

Saved should NOT be cancelled !! The first season of Friends wasn't that hot, but people came around. So why not give Saved a chance ?? Alot more people were catching on once they ran some episodes on NBC at the end of the season. How do you stop it from being cancelled ??? TV has become a joke. Nothing last more than one season - or even less. No one has a chance to like anything because it's not on long enough. This is pathetic.

Taking Everwood off the air was the worst idea the TV executives ever had. Hence, since Everwood was removed from the WB, I refuse to watch that station anymore. I don't care what show it is, WB sucks!

I am really upset that saved was cancelled. Saved was a very good show and to be ending it the way it was is not right. I was really looking forward to knowing what happened.

email TNT to try and save the series 'SAVED'.
They need to hear from everybody that wants to
continue to watch it.
I WILL NOT watch the new shows planned if they
have cancelled SAVED because it's not worth getting
excited about a show, wait anxiously to see how
the NEW season starts out because the season finale
was so 'on the edge' of your seat -- then 'poof' you can't because it's CANCELLED.

I emailed TNT moret han once, with a totally respectable email asking why they cancelled saved.
I want everyone to know however that Saved still has a webpage on TNT, and TNT has NOT released a statement saying saved was cancelled
However, I know many people that will ban TNT if saved is cancelled it was a great show. The medicine wasn't perfect but the emotions of those paramedics/EMT's were beyond perfect for what we really go through every day. It might have been over the top but it was TELEVISION! that's what it is supposed to do.
I pray to god they don't get rid of this show for real or they are going to have an outpouring of angry viewers.
Hopefully USA or another network is SMART and picks up the show becuase it is one that will pull in viewers for sure as it becomes more well known.

I've been a paramedic for almost 20 years, and I loved Saved! Yeah, the medicine was questionable, and the actions of the medic's a little overboard, but it also reflected what goes on at many private ambulance companies, or even municipal services (not that they would admit it)
As a previous poster said- the emotions and problems that many of these people face were real. I've known people with horrible personal problems, but for whatever reason, when they stepped into an ambulance, they were the saving angels for people they didn't even know. That is what makes Saved great- reflecting on the actions of flawed individuals and seeing their contribution to society.
I hope they renew it. I sent two emails in December about it, but as of yet have not gotten a reply...
One point in reference to the season finalie- if a paramedic took an ambulance, ran through town with lights and siren to catch his wanna be girlfriend, and caused a serious accident, his paramedic license would be gone forever!

Save "SAVED". I was checking to see when it would be
back on, only to find out it had been canceled.
It is a great show! Who makes these decisions? They
obviously do not know what people want to watch.
No all of us are reality show freaks!!

I also am a paramedic (over 12 years) and loved Saved. It had all the great drama, writing and true to life cases that ER had it's first year. Cancelling is a Huge Mistake!!! I only have Closer to watch on TNT now.

Just found out today that TNT is not renewing/keeping "Saved". What a disappointment. This is a great series. So what it didn't get the ratings "The Closer" did? "Saved never got the media exposure and hype that was given to The Closer. And TNT is bringing on 2 new shows? Why bring on new shows when you already have a hit series? Can't TNT reconsider and keep Saved instead? This show has realistic characters, a great storyline and made me look forward to the each new episode. I think it's a huge mistake to cancel Saved. I'm sure alot of other viewers will feel the same way and TNT will be less watched because of the cancellation of this series. If TNT doesn't reconsider, maybe FX or Showtime or HBO will pick it up and add it to their string of hit series.

I was so excited to see the March 5th, 2007 premiere of Saved...I'm so disappointed. Taking TNT off my 'regular' channels. I've watched closer, good show. Saved was what TNT needed to maintain the momentum. BRING BACK SAVED!!!

Taking Saved off the air was a mistake. You did not give this show a chance. It was a cast of unique, excellent actors. The story lines were relevent, unlike all the reality shows, which are created by unintelligent human beings. Are the ratings all that matter? Please bring back Saved or we will be forced to watch premium cable stations or more DVD's.

TNT made a BIG mistake!! I started watching TNT ONLY because of SAVED!!! It's sad that people with money can sit back and make B*&% S*&^ decisions. People LOVED the show!! Get over ourselves. The Closer......PLEASE!! How many more CIS shows are giong to be copied? I guess it really doen't matter what the people want, as long as your check clears at the bank. TNT is sickening.

My husband and I are 50 and 54 years old and we loved watching saved. We were looking forward to the new season and then found out that it had been canceled. I think TNT made a big mistake in cancelling this show. Since Closer is in reruns at the moment there is absolutely nothing drawing us to TNT. Saved was different and I think you should bring it back.
