The Smoking Gun has obtained a copy of Dustin Diamond's What does Dustin Diamond do -- other than make hotel room porn and sell t-shirts? He apparently makes appearances as a stand-up comedian and as a speaker, which he does "the Screech voice, face, and walk." Wait. He will bore audiences with behind-the-scenes stories from Saved by the Bell and do impressions, but you can't call him Screech? I'm confused.
Funny sidenote: His rider warns that some of his jokes are dirty and says, "You are getting the mature Dustin Diamond not Screech." It also requires two pints of "chilled" chocolate milk in his dressing room. He's a walking contradiction.

He grows a nice beard - and that's just about all he does.

In his defense, if all I'd ever been known for was "Saved By the Bell," I'd probably be a dick, too.
I like the "one of many characters that Artist portrayed earlier in his career" bit. Yes...how could we forget his pivotal role as "Kid on the Beach" in 1989's "She's Out of Control"? Or his De Niro-esque performance as "Rob" in "The Munsters Today"? I still get chills. But, obviously, it's as "Waiter" in the 2000 film "Longshot" where Diamond really came into his own. That he wasn't nominated for an Oscar is a terrible, terrible injustice.
For someone's who apparently trying to throw off the shackles of being "Screech," he's really not doing a good job of it. Hell, he named his homemade porn movie "Screeched"! The sad truth is, "Saved By the Bell" has been his shining and defining moment.

Law & Order Criminal Intent did one of its ripped from the headline shows about him. But unlike the past they just predicted his death rather then waiting for it to actually happen lol

As we all know, his shining and defining moment was whipping Horshack's monkey ass in Diamond vs. Palillo - The Melee in LA

He did stand up in my town last year. I had some free tickets from work to the comedy club so a few friends and I went to see him.
He started out by saying something like "If you're here to listen to me talk about being Screech and Saved by the Bell, then you might as well leave now." Then he went into his stand up routine.
He was funny enough. A pretty average stand-up comedian. For 10 bucks you could get your picture taken with him on a Polaroid after the show. My friends and I all did.
