Frylock and Carl(S04E11) Man, I love this show. Even more, I love how incestuous the entire Adult Swim family is. How funny was the cameo from George "Space Ghost" Lowe? He's been on the show a few times before, but never playing himself. It was a riot. Favorite part? When he tried to charge Meatwad forty bucks for an autographed picture. Meatwad said for that price, it better come with a hand-job. George's response? "Oh... it does!" Even funnier was when we found out that Meatwad had no idea what an HJ was.

This show could honestly go on forever. Anything could become a topic. ATHF is like the Seinfeld of animated shows. It really is about nothing and I love it.

So the entire gist was pretty straightforward. Aliens offered Carl forty bucks a day (or was it a week?) to put a giant tower in his yard. The tower went all the way to their planet and the end game was getting Shake to come up there so they could imprison him. After that, he was forced to entertain the aliens by doing a Sinatra or Tony Bennett-esque routine for all eternity. Crazy, I know. Didn't the two aliens look remarkably similar to the "Yep, Yep, Yep" Aliens on Sesame Street though? Their mouths and eyes especially. I wonder if that was done on purpose?

Ouch.Of course, that giant tower didn't come without risks. Hang around it long enough and you start bleeding from every orifice and you head develops massive tumors. See Carl? He doesn't look so good. Reminded me of Ah-nold in Total Recall when him and that chick were thrown out onto Mars' surface and their eyes popped out of their heads.

I loved when they spoofed those terrible Head-On commercials that always play during The Price is Right. You know, the one where they repeat the product name about a billion times in the 15-second spot? Well apparently Meatwad thought it was a show, only their commercial was for "Roid-Away -- apply directly to the roid! Roid-Away -- apply directly to the roid!" Hilarious.

Overall, another great episode. Too bad the season finale is fast approaching. At least we still have the ATHF movie to look forward to next year.

In closing, a gem from Shake's routine:

Shake (finishing with a punchline): "...so the bum said, 'I ate it off the sidewalk. With my baaaaaalllllllls!'"

Genius.
