(S13E12) This week's episode makes me ponder what is really important in the game. The former Aitu alliance seems iron-clad. They have a plan and they are sticking with it. They have the numbers. And yet, underneath it all, maybe the underdogs, the little team that could, still feels like the uncool kids. How else can I justify their willingness to be swayed by a couple of corn cobs and a few friendly glances from the dim remains of the frat boy tribe?Poor Parvati, the first time she tries to help out she injures herself, chopping her finger with a machete. The medical crew patches her up. And oh, isn't Adam sweet. Not only will he not look at Parvati's finger because it grosses him out, he is worried because she is his main ally. This weeks reward challenge is the loved one challenge. Weeping all around. Jonathan really is happy to see his wife. It's odd to see Becky actually show emotions when she sees her sister, she's usually so circumspect. And is even Yul tearing up? Aw, Ozzy and his mom. So much with the cuteness! Ditto for Sundra and her mom. The challenge involves the loved ones and tossing water blindfolded. It's not so much fun for the loved ones who end up getting doused with seawater. Jonathan's wife is crafty, she uses her T-shirt to catch water but in the end Parvati and her dad are victorious. She chooses to send Jonathan to Exile Island. Parvati's dad gets to choose who to bring with them on reward and he chooses Sundra and her mom and Adam and his dad.
Ozzy, Yul and Becky comfort themselves imaging that soon the three of them will be in the final three. They also discuss the fact that they provide a lot of the food. They decide to hide the food from Adam and Parvati since they keep winning challenges. When Adam, Parvati and Sundra come back they bring food and so that makes them rethink the plan. It seems like everyone is a lot mellower without Jonathan around.
The immunity challenge involves swimming over barrels which gives everyone an opportunity to get banged up. But whenever the ocean is part of the challenge, Dolphin boy Ozzy is victorious. After the challenge, Jonathan realizes that he is in trouble and tries to solidify his position but Adam is suddenly making a hard sell toward Yul. The thing about Yul is that he always listens to everyone's point of view. Jonathan's version of the hard sell is a bit more of the used car salesman variety. He stresses the things he has done for Yul. I think Jonathan is a decent guy but his aggressive approach doesn't endear anyone to him. So often on reality shows someone knows they are in trouble and instead of just laying low they suddenly become terribly annoying pestering everyone about their fate. It is not a technique that ever works well.
It doesn't take Adam too long to realize he has been saved once the votes are read and Jonathan and Adam trade glances. Adam smiles over at Candice (who mouths 'good job' from her spot on the jury). This has to be the muggingest jury I have ever seen. Voting out Jonathan does not seem like a smart move on Yul's behalf unless it's just a chance to make friends with the jury. I still think his best move would have been to take Jonathan to the final two. Now there is a real chance that Adam or Parvati could get to Ozzy and really cause trouble.

I couldn't really read who Yul voted for. It didn't seem like enough letters to spell out Jonathan. Was it Adam? I think Yul looked upset that Jonathan got voted off. He even told Jonathan that it would be in his own best interest to keep Jonathan around. I can't stand Candace which is most likely why I thought her hair looked like she still hadn't brushed it. OMG! Waterworks when all of the family members came out. I'm rooting for Yul or Ozzy so I'm gonna be so upset if Ozzy is the next to go. I want it to be Pavroti!

Everyone except Jonathon voted for Jonathon. Yul wrote "Jonny Blue Eyes".

It was Ozzy who wrote Jonny-Blue-Eyes. I thought Yul wrote Adam as well, but I wasn't quite sure.
The point that interested me the most this week - and I'm surprised no one touched on it - with Ozzy's mom showing up, didn't it make you instantly think back to the recent discloure of Ozzy's porn actor status? Seeing his mom made me feel bad, like what if he didn't tell her and once it all airs she'll find out what a bad boy he is. Or maybe she already knows! She loves her porn star son! Either way, it's all I could think about.

I think it was very dumb to vote Jonathan out. I cannot stand Adam and his cheesy, crooked-ass face and is Candance suppose to be hot, cause she ain't. Pavarati (sp wrong on purpose) looks like she would be one bad kisser, her mouth looks full of saliva all the time and nasty and she's an idiot. Yul just kissed his chance at winning goodbye. Ozzy will turn on him and Becky. If things go right, hopefully, Sundra will win. By the way Jon was one of the only people besides those on Aitu who played the flippin game correctly, he just became too overbearing. Please they better vote that big idiot Adam off next. But I have a feeling it may be Yul.

I just looked at the voting history - everyone voted for Jonathan except Jonathan.
I thought they should have kept him around for at least one more and voted off Adam instead. Pavarti is quick to peeter out in physical challenges - plus they way she talks through her teeth is really starting to annoy me. So I would have voted her after Jonathan. But that is my opinion.

Voting Jonathon out was the stupidest thing ever. You have to create a plan of attack and stick to it. Now that Jonathon is out, it gives both Ozzy and Sundra the ability to flip. If Yul kept Jonathon around for one more vote and forced Adam to go home then Ozzy and Sundra could not flip as it would be Yul, Becky, Jonathon, Ozzy, Sundra and Pavarti. No way Ozzy and Sundra flip to help out Pavarti, by herself, but her and Adam. The better play would have been to vote off Pavarti. Females are always better at playing an under the radar game as far as scheming.

Voting off Jonathan has to be, tactically, the stupidest move Aitu could have made. He was their buffer. Had they voted off Adam and next week and Pavarti managed to win immunity, they would have all booted Jonathan off. Now that he is gone, they have a pass voting off one of the Raro members, but the following week after that if a Raro member wins, they will have to pick one of their alliance of 4. Now from the previews it appears that kicking Jonathan will bite them in the ass, though you can never tell from the previews with their creative editing.
I am glad Jonathan finally pointed out Adam and Pavarti's hypocrisy when they called him untrustworthy, when Jon stated that Adam and Pavarti voted out 3 of their Raro members in favor of keeping the Aitu defectors. It always drove me nuts when they called him a rat when they were the bigger rats.

Personally I like Yul and Ozzy. Both talented.
I love Yul because he is Korean (I am Asian) and he just play so well and intelligent! As Jeff said,"You are the UN". Except this time, he should have keep Jonathan and vote out Adam/Pavarti/ then next --> ozzy, his biggest tread) as Brent Todd said, now Adam and Pavarti would convince Ozzy to filp!
On the other hand, I love Ozzy! He is the best survivor in challenges! I really want to see Ozzy and Yul to be in final 2.
