Did you watch the Billboard Awards on Monday night? Me neither. Thank goodness. There's a clip of Fergie performing her atrocious "Fergalicous" song with absolutely no energy whatsoever. After watching her lifeless performance of what should be a high energy song, I am convinced that she's nothing but eye candy. She can shake her ass and her boobs in the camera for music videos, but when it comes to stage presence, girl ain't got none. She walked out on the stage and stood there as dancers bounced and lights flashed all around her. The director couldn't even hide Fergie's performance with a bunch of zooming cameras. About two-thirds into her song, she seems to forget the words. I sure hope this chick's 15 minutes are up.Video of Fergie's Billboard performance after the jump...

Haven't seen it but I have seen her and the Peas many, many times. Perhaps she was sick or something else was wrong? I do know she's put on fantastic shows repeatedly with the Peas. Very high energy, lots of movement and tons of presence with attitude.
Dunno what to say but I can say I've seen her before and she and the Peas crew were so good I became a converted fan.

I assumed she was drunk. When you see her walk out in the beginning, it's not exactly in a straight line.
I wouldn't consider her an electrifying performer, but she can't be that bad naturally.

I had the same reaction as I watched it live the other night. The weird thing is that she was on VH-1's Big in '06 Award show the night before and was pretty good. Maybe she was indeed sick or something.

Wow. I can't understand how someone who can't sing could have a bad music performance. Isn't it about time that people who had musical talent won music awards? Maybe it's what's popular now, but when you can pull anyone off the street and have them pull the same type of performance and/or "singing" ability, it doesn't seem right to give them an award for it.

I was shocked at her performance as well! When she performed with The Peas she was HIGH ENERGY & AWESOME! So I was expecting her to rock the house, BUT she just walked around the stage! I thought she looked she didn't know how to walk in those spiked heels. Cuz I was thinking when she 1st came out it is gonna ve interesting to see her break it down in those shoes (cuz Beyonce does it in her heels)! Thankfully the back up dancers has something to offer us!!

Sorry guys, gotta disagree on this one. Yeah, shes eye candy, but yet an awesome performer. Dont know why shes doing the solo thing though, she aint that good. give her a break!!! How many shows has this girl been in?!?!?! I believe she's a seasoned artist and everyone has their bad days. Just as a writer can write something horrible, and an artist can paint something aweful...a performer is allowed to have a bad performance here and there. No one can be perfect 100% of the time. It's sad to see that performers that are in the spotlight are always scrutinized every time they aren't perfect...gah! they are humans!!

Fergie was hot! It's just you are not use to seeing a singer actually sing these days! They are usually dancing and lipsynching.. So I thought she did a great job.. It doesn't seem like the easiest song to sing.. But hey, what do I know..
