This Thursday's An upcoming episode of Scrubs is a musical, which may or may not be a good idea. After seeing this music video from the episode, I'm still not convinced that I'm going to love it. The problem is that the actors just stand there and sing. Hopefully there will be some choreography to go with the other musical numbers (there has to be, it is Scrubs after all!).
The video that NBC has released is a love song between Turk and J.D., called "Guy Love". The lyrics are pretty funny. They sing about how they have a "Guy Love" that is "not gay". And then J.D. makes it all uncomfortable with a line that I'm not going to ruin for you.
Yeah, I'm not convinced either. How can you beat the Buffy musical episode? Donald Faison's a decent singer, but Zach Braff's not, and they really do just stand there... We'll see. I was really disappointed by the premiere, too, so I'm not feeling particularly positive about this season yet.
The musical episode is not until the sixth or seventh episode of the season. This Thursday's episode is "My Best Friend's Baby's Baby and My Baby's Baby."
If you've seen the Scrubs video blogs over at quickstopentertainment.com, you would know that the Scrubs musical includes singing AND dancing.
We're one episode into the sixth season. Stop being such a negative Nancy about it.
We love it - it is one of the most creative things we've seen on TV in ages! It reminds me a bit of the brief show, Cops Rock or Cop Opera or something like that. We thought it was terrificly clever and were disappointed when it was taken off the air.

It better be better than last week's episode, which was terrible. And I love Scrubs.

I really like scrubs but they already did something like this when J.D. wondered what death would be like if it was a musical.
Which converted me into a fan of the show right away. It was done really well.
