This wasn't a particularly strong episode. Maybe I only feel this way because I was in a bad mood while watching the episode. I don't know. At least I laughed at the Popemobile within a Popemobile and the family of Vilsack ducks. Oh, speaking of Vilsack... I must praise the TDS writers for not going for a ballsack joke. It would have been easy. Too easy."Summit of All Fears": Bush met up wit Maliki again. So awkward.
"Iraq to the Future": Senior Military Analyst Rob Riggle (our very own Joel Keller recently did an interview with Riggle for Radar Online) talked about our current situation in Iraq. I only liked the part about do-overs because do-overs are the best.
Senior Black Correspondent Larry Wilmore talked about the Michael Richards controversy. I'm not that fond of Wilmore... The writing was really funny, but there's something about WIlmore's pacing that feels off. I quite liked that "Jew it down to five" line.
The night's guest was Tenacious D (they've got a new album and film, The Pick of Destiny). I thought it was kind of awkward... Jack Black seemed genuinely upset that the film didn't fare well in its first week. Kyle Gass kept trying to lighten the mood with jokes here and there, but, for once, Black was kind of a downer. It was weird. C'mon, everyone. Lift Black's spirits and see the film.
Jon/Stephen: Stephen Colbert was kind of pissed 'cause he totally called dibs on the Michael Richards story. And yes... yes, I looked up DibsRegistry.com. Doesn't exist. Moment of Zen: Domino toppling world record! Awesome!

I agree with you, Annie, about this episode being a bit weak...however, they did have one of my favorite NAMBLA jokes ever ("The Joint Committee on Excelerating the Transferring of Security Responsibility, or, SCRAMBLA").
