Jon StewartHoly crap. That picture of the collapsed bathroom (mentioned last night) looked really scary, haha. I'd be absolutely mortified if I almost accidentally killed one of my musical heroes... especially in my bathroom. How embarrassing.

"Romancing Estonia": Britain, Italy, and Poland are developing plans to pull out their troops from Iraq. Don't worry, kids, we Americans will probably be there for a much longer time. Matt Lauer says it's a civil war. Bush says it's sectarian violence. Jon pitted them in a tough battle of credibility (a credi-battle) to decide which phrase to go with, and Lauer came out as the top man. The bottom of the screen read "Bloc Party" and I freaked out a little. I like it when they use musical references that I actually understand. Oh, and fun fact: The phrase "sweet fancy Moses" still makes me laugh.

"Ten Fucking Years: Official TDS Endorsements": Beautiful montage about all TDS segments about various crazies running for office. I think my favorite was the guy that didn't seem to have anything to say but "my opponent left his black wife for a white woman!". Actually, I take that back. I think my favorite was the black woman that he spoke to in the parking lot ("SO?!"). And how in the hell did Vance Degeneres keep a straight face with that wacky Doty coot? That was wild.

The night's guest was George Clooney, People's Sexiest Man Alive and star of The Good German (which looks utterly fascinating). Clooney seemed to enjoy some friendly flirting with Jon, constantly bringing up the time that they spent in bed together, filming a funny segment for the Oscars. I loved how surprised Jon was ("I'm flattered that you think enough of me to make gay innuendo"). Sure, they'd be a cute couple, but not quite as cute as Jon and Stephen Colbert. That's right, I said it.

Jon/Stephen: Stephen Colbert wasn't too good with the Teleprompter. Moment of Zen: Matt Lauer tried being hip by quoting Borat ("Wa wa wee wa!").
