(S04E12) What a well crafted episode. There was so much going on (not to mention a boatload of guest-stars) and it all flowed together so smoothly. I suppose the biggest thing to mention is that Christian proposed to Michelle. She accepted but on one condition: Christian had to sell his apartment so they could start fresh together. I loved what this set up. It forced Christian to examine all the women he's been with over the years and some pretty memorable characters made an appearance.
Of course, it was all in Christian's mind. It was still very telling that he heard the most from the three women he treated the worst over the years: Kimber, Natasha Charles (Rebecca Gayheart), and Abby Mays (Rebecca Metz). Remember all the horrible things he said to Natasha when he broke up with her? And how could you forget what he did to Abby? He made her put a bag on her head before he'd go near her in bed. Really well done though. All the scenes that involved his female hallucinations were excellent.
For those of you that were wondering whatever happened to the "Christian is gay" storyline, we got some closure on that as well. I loved how it all came down to a heated argument with Dr. Wolper. She's nuts and Brooke Shields really deserves some credit for this role. I honestly thought Christian and Sean were going to have a threesome with her (wouldn't be their first time) but it was equally satisfying for Christian to see the new tattoo. Independent of that was the return of Dr. Mike Hamoui (Mario Lopez). He actually bought Christian's condo. Not exactly sure why that was important for us to know.
Was anyone else surprised that Christian fell for James' act? Sure she was hurt, but it was instantly clear to anyone who had been paying attention earlier that being a patient would allow her access to the office at night for her own plans. Christian even pointed out that "a squashed spider still spins it's web until it's final breath." So why did he operate on her then? Doesn't add up.
I really liked the story of the patient Diana Lubey too. I think it was probably the best one this season. Very nice thing Sean did by switching out the ashes of the dead husband too. How funny was the guy's wife though? I loved when she kept screaming about how he had always been busy "screwing his froggy mistress."
Lots of great lines too...
Sean (to Michelle, regarding her managerial decisions): "So interesting when the hooker becomes the pimp."
Dr. Hamoui (to Christian, regarding his custom shower): "You can still hear the screams from all the women you've banged in here."
Christian (on Sean's accusation that he's gay): "Have I been doing something lately? Walking weird or something?"
Who else is ready for Sean as a drunken, disgruntled, and depressed Santa Claus next week?

Hey, completely off topic, but I read this site all the time and it would be super fantastic if you would stop the "continue reading..." thing. I'm sure it's meant to be convenient for us or something, but it was so much better before.

I enjoyed this episode from the beginning. It was nice seeing some old characters. And there was no Matt in this episode, which is usually a plus.

The episode was OK - I couldn't help but feel the entire episode like the writer's haphazardly threw this together after Julia's unexpected departure from the show.
I dunno, if the show is to keep me entertained they need to bring in some new blood - you know, more likable characters. It's so hard to empathize with any of the supporting actors now in this organ donor/madame/call-girl story arc. Add to that, a bunch of whiney women with more money than God fighting over ashes and shooting them into their tits.
Somehow this show is losing its edge and all of the energy it's had up to this point. Enough of the organ thieves - hell, the overextended Carver story line of last season was intriguing and unexpected to say the least.

Poor Kelly Carlson. she's a credit regular for god's sake, yet she's only appearing in hallucinations? they really have to write more stuff for her! we want more Kimber.
I can't understand why people are bashing this season because week after week nip tuck continues to wow and intrigue me. this episode was fantastic, i love it when characters are seeing "people from their past."
Brooke Shields is just brilliant with her role as Faith. Her expression when Sean told her about Christian's engagement was hilarious! i can tell she's really enjoying playing this wack job.
I thought the story with Diana Lubey was very well done too, it didn't feel like a cheap way to address Julia's departure at all. I thought it was very typical nip tuck, they could use this story even if Julia was still around.
It's great to see Natasha (Rebecca Gayheart) back, she was one of my favorites of Christian's women. I was really surprise they brought back last season's Abby Mays though, her episode was one of the most disturbing in the series, so it's nice to see Christian still remembered her.
I am glad they finally bring some closure to the whole "Christian being gay" story, otherwise, those episodes a couple months ago would have been such unnecessary publicity stunts.
Can't believe the season is near its end. i read somewhere that Gina is gonna pop out soon...very excited.
A tidbit about last week's episode: According to TV Guide, Conor's therapist was played by actor Bob McCracken. It wasn't clear why the actor wasn't credited or seen.

The reason she got beat up was to show that she is not filling quota....it wasn't to gain access. You will see in later episodes she isn't doing her job well and it's going to cause the Yakuza to come after her.

I think the Mckracken thing is an inside joke. Wasn't he Tims unseen neighbor on Home Improvment?

#1, if you're worried about spoilers then it's probably not a good idea to read a review of the show before you see it.

I thought it was wonderful.
first of all I was getting bored with Christian's Bachelor pad anyway. I cannot wait to see the house that he and Michelle are going to live in will look like. This episode was fantastic I score it a "10."
I also like to add- when Christian proposed to Michelle I became excited. I said "YES." because I knew this was going to happen. I also wanted to say Looking at Christian and Michelle is like an Chocolate & Vanilla twist ice cream- they are so good together! I will write again soon. I have a question do you think we will see the wedding or what! Help me out here!

I heard a rumor that the actress who plays Michelle signed on to be in the next season of Nip/Tuck, so I'd guess that we will likely see a wedding on the show sometime.
But contrary to that if the previous episode's "Conor Mcnamara future" flashforward is eveidence of anything forthcoming, Christian was no longer with Michelle when he is an old man. So that could lead to speculation that something between he and Michelle goes awry.
I thought this episode was pretty good, even after the 180 turn the Conor Mcnamara episode took the week before. I was afraid getting back to the traditional storyline would seem awkward after the flashforward stuff. But it was a good transition and Brooke SHields is doing a great job livening up the program. What a welcome addition! Great job, great character. Hopefully she sticks around...
