The new trailer for The Simpsons Movie is now online-- it also aired on Fox last Sunday night during The Simpsons. It doesn't show much, except a fluffy bunny and Homer getting stuck between a rock and a hard place. The Wikipedia page for the movie says Erin Brockovich, Minnie Driver, and Albert Brooks all have roles. Plus, we'll see old, familiar characters such as SideShow Bob and Fat tony. The plot of the movie is being kept under wraps.
The Simpsons Movie trailer is on the Apple Trailers website. The movie comes out July 27, 2007.

Glad to see it's just like the show, dumb and outdated.

I'm guessing that Groening & Company is saving all the funny stuff for the movie. Cuz the new season just sucks.

Why a story and a link to Pop Candy - when you already posted a link in your Simpsons Review from the other night? Do the bloggers even read other blog posters stories?

The main joke in the trailer -- that the movie will be in low-tech "2-D" -- is very similar to the main joke in the trailer to the "South Park" movie.
So now I guess "South Park" can stop saying "'Simpsons' did it," because the reverse is also true.

I haven't seen the trailer yet, but I'm sure this movie is going to be really funny. How can it not be? It's The Simpsons! I've been watching this show since I was a kid. Did you know The Simpsons is nominated for Favorite TV Comedy for The People's Choice awards? They are, so go vote for them at www.pcavote.com. The other nominees are Family Guy and King of the Hill. I work with The People's Choice community so I'm giving you guys the heads up.

I haven't much of the newer episodes, but I was a diehard fan of the Simpsons back in the day. I've been hearing about a Simpsons movie for a long ass time. I really hope that all the delay and hype will churn out a truly extrodinary movie. And I really hope that this gag scene that they showed is just a mere sample of what we are about to witness. I have high expectations for the movie, and I know that many old writers are coming back for the film and I hope that they put as much time and effort as possible. Because I want my high expectations met! Because if it's only an average film why the hell would they wait all these years? Matt would have just cut a season or something if he really wanted to make a movie. But he didn't want to rush out a sloppy job. He knows that it takes time to craft this film.
