The single-camera Showtime pilot Insatiable, which revolves around a small town in which everyone has an addiction, has added an impressive roster of actresses to its cast. Currently in negotiation to appear are Andie MacDowell, Laura Flynn Boyle and Andrea Martin.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the ensemble comedy emulates the tone of Twin Peaks. Alright, I have no idea what that means. So, let's move on.

MacDowell's character will have an eBay shopping addiction. Boyle will get off on stealing things, and Martin will have the more traditional gambling addiction. I don't know about you, but I'm already looking forward to seeing a character abandon her kid's recital or leave her dying mother's bedside to make it to a high speed connection for the last minutes of her vintage fiestaware auction.

Between assembling this cast, snagging David Duchovny and adding John Corbett and Kevin Smith to Manchild, Showtime wins the prize for best casting of a season in development.
