(S10E10) Tonight's race takes us to Finland where we see a lot more talking about alliances and a lot less actual allying (finally). In the wake of the "six pack" the other teams attempt alliances but the whole race seems a lot less heartfelt without David and Mary in it. It's supposed to be intensity time but someone needs to tell that to the Cho brothers in this endlessly boring leg of the race.So what alliances remain? The Chos and the Lyns don't really seem as cohesive although there is lots of talk of the late, lamented sixpack. The hotness alliance of Dustin and Kandice plus Tyler and James is one of convenience (and tolietry use) not loyalty. And Rob and Kim might think they are allied with Tyler and James but frankly no one wants a part of that bickering action.
The best part of the episode was the detour. The teams either have to cross country ski through mud or take on an obstacle course (Phil remains safely dry in a pair of waders while explaining the messy challenge). Both challenges look like no fun although it's fun watching everyone take a big muddy spill. You'd think the Beauty Queens would be considered about getting dirty but it's Tyler and James who get done first but lose valuable time when they decide to change clothes before the next challenge (although I am sure the cab driver appreciated that). It's a bit of a bummer that a team so navigationally challenged and so obsessed with their own physical appearance still manage to dominate the race whenever they are even partly paying attention.
The roadblock sends one person from each team on a bike ride through the caves of a mine, a challenge that has everyone thinking of David and Mary. After that, they were directed to a stadium (no mention of a pit stop).
Sure enough, no pit stop just a bit of scary looking forward rappelling which Tyler and James are the first to attempt. Next week it looks like the Cho brothers might finally realize that their alliance is dead. Because apparently Lyn and Karlyn's blatant taxi stealing wasn't enough of a clue.

as much as i love the Chos or what's left of the six-pack, i want the Beauty Queens to win this season. they have really beat the dumb blonde stereotypes on TV. they are competitive and adorable.

Go blondes! Being a blonde gal myself, I'm a bit bias I guess... but its really more because they are smart, cunning, and use alliances only when it suits them... they are not niave like the Cho's and David and Mary cause well I think i said weeks ago that Alabama were not gonna stick with any six pack alliance at all.
The models are more prissy than any girl team, and the couple just bicker and annoy me.
Go Beauty Queens... do us blondes proud!

I just don't care about any of these people since David and Mary left.
