According to London's Daily Mail, Joely Richardson has left Nip/Tuck for good. The paper quotes Richardson, who says that she has chosen to remain in the UK to care for her 15-year old daughter, who will soon undergo surgeries to treat a rare circulatory disorder. Richardson says that, when she had her daughter, she was torn between work and staying at home to be a mom. Now that her daughter's condition has worsened, Richardson no longer wants to spend half the year working in Hollywood. She also says that she's not sure whether she'll ever return to Hollywood. The article also quotes Nip/Tuck creator Ryan Murphy as saying that the series will miss her, but he also respects her decision to leave. Nip/Tuck was recently renewed for a fifth season.

WOW. I wonder how the series will handle this new development.
Will she simply leave Sean and run off or will she be killed off?
Interesting turn of events. Wish her and her daughter best of luck.

Such a great show this season. No wonder her performance has been so good if she has some of that real-life inspirato. I wonder if that impacted the storyline... also wonder how they're going to kill her off, that will make Sean frickin' insane.

I really feel bad for her and her daughter. I understand her tough choice and wish them the best. Joely is a fine actress and I hope she does not leave Hollywood forever.

Maybe Joely is running off with Peter Dinklage in real life too.

I absolutely HATE Julia. That means Joely Richardson deserves a big congrats for her acting. God, that character grates me!
That being said, my prayers for her and her daughter. There is no worse pain than watching your child in pain.
I'm glad to see nip/tuck will continue for another season in any case. If they have her leave Sean for the Peter Dinklage character, it opens the door for a return, should she change her mind.

Joely really kind of kept the family together. Very strong actress and I hate to see her leave. But she made the right choice to be with her daughter. All my prayers go out to her.
