From what I could tell, no way that was a joke. She started to raise her arms 1 second before the winner was announced in anticipation that she was the winner. Then her reaction to her name not being called was instantaneous. There was no coy or playful smile. She raised her arms to claim victory, then was extremely pissed when her name wasn't called, and walked off muttering something that didn't look too pleasant. Nothing about her demeanor or reaction looked like a joke to me.

I have nothing against her but it just looked like she was caught visibly reacting the way most award losers probably feel inside.

It could have been worse. She could have pulled a Kanye West and gone up on the stage and say to the winners that the award should have been his because he spent more money on his video.

It's ridiculous to think Faith Hill was serious...one of her best friends is Martina M. and she is a real joker. Got the biggest kick out of her and Tim on Oprah..they are both real cut-ups! Lighten up people!! I love it that the press has made such a big deal out of it...not much to report on I guess besides Britny Spears and her bust up!

Looked to me like she was serious pissed. Like Mariah, Whitney and Shania before her, she just displayed her Diva mentality. Besides, being Female Vocalist of Country Music is like being queen of a county fair. It's an honor that no one else in the world of music cares about.

It was not a joke. Year after year this woman has won too many awards. Of course she thought she would get this one. I am sure she was surprised and pissed she lost to an American Idol, someone who is younger.

I am so tired of people saying it was a joke! when they react as human beings in front of the camera. And what make it worst is to lied to their fans and public as of we were part of the village idiots. It says a lot about their characters when they lie to look better when they actually look worst. She lies and that's the bottom line. Not a joke. Just a human reaction to losing something apparently important for her.

I don't care for country music myself, but I still find this to be hillarious. I definitely do not believe she was joking. If you watch carefully, you see her acting all humbled, confident and smiling and before they're even halfway through saying Carrie Underwood's name, she's throwing her arms in the air with a big grin on her face. She knew she was going to win, but she was wrong and when she realized that, she was pissed about it. Which is fine, like others have said, its a human reaction. If she was joking I think she should have stayed on screen and laughed some more so we all could have had time to get the joke. But she didn't she stormed off stage as soon as she realized she was on camera. She should have just apologized and we all would have laughed it off and forgot about it. But for her to lie about it is to tell us that we're all idiots and if you believe she's telling the truth, then maybe you are.

I can't believe people are making such a big deal out of this...Faith was totally joking...That is just her personality and having met her a couple of times I can say this...I don't know where people are getting their info about Faith not caring about people and her being a a total bitch....that is completly untrue...she is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet...she has such a big heart and truly cares about her fans....She has my support and love no matter what!!!!
