(S02E10) I didn't realize this until tonight, but it's actually a good thing for Lincoln that he got caught, and only we know it. At least in the way he was caught Mahone didn't have a chance to outright kill him. Last week I just assumed for some reason that he was done for and he'd be going to trial next season, but so far I'm wrong on that count.
It's already been well established that Mahone is reckless, and here he is again, coming out in plain view and on his own in Gila, New Mexico, where Michael is clearly looking over his shoulder.
Random thought: With that fax Sara got from Michael, initially I thought someone on Mahone's team may have sent the fax to a bunch of hotels hoping to get Sara to take the bait.
It's about time we see Sara confront Michael about his supposed "plan to make all right." Hell, I was wondering about that wording myself, with T-Bag on the loose, several people dead, even Sara almost dead. And then Sara just goes along with Michael's relatively lame plan? I guess I didn't get it.
Bellick and his pal definitely seem to take the wimpy way out to get that key from T-Bag. God they've been there for something like 24 hours trying to torture the bastard, why stop there? Seems T-Bag loves to eat things to get his way, doesn't he? Maybe that's the way he should go out, eating the wrong thing at the wrong time. That'd be appropriate.
Is hotwiring a car really so easy that a prison nurse can figure it out? And on a recent model auto? Maybe it was her drugged days of her youth that helped her out. This part of the episode would have been a lot easier to swallow had she found a hide-a-key under the wheel well.
What the hell was Bellick thinking not turning in T-Bag on his own? Wasn't there some serious reward money involved there? Hell, at least if he got to the locker later and there was nothing there he'd have that reward money for all he went through. And we all know what's going to wind up happening seeing what arm T-Bag was tied up with, and all I have to say is it's about time.
Wow, I did not see that coming when Roy tenderized Bellick's noggin. And how is it that he thinks Bellick won't come after him now? Roy is in for a world of hurt once Bellick comes looking for that money and a little revenge.
Oh, and poor Sucre. If he only knew the real reason Maricruz wasn't taking his calls was because she was in love with Scott Wolf.

She wasn't trying to hotwire the car - she was disabling it. If you watched, she was looking for the keys, found them, was going to start the car but then decided to get out of it and rip the wires so it was useless / Mahone couldn't follow them.

Jake -- Going back and watching again, yeah that was not Mahone's car she had when she picked Michael up, so my bad there. But I definitely didn't see that she found keys to his car. There was a sound that maybe sounded like keys, but I definitely didn't see any. That was just an odd scene overall, as here Michael says he bought them time and she says nothing? It must've taken her a while to get out to her car on foot, too.

Also, she's a doctor, not a nurse.
THere's no way in hell that key would have passed through T-Bag so quickly and painlessly. Would have made more sense for them to get him to vomit it up.
But then realism is not why we watch the show, eh?

Hey Jake, maybe I need to watch that scene again with Sara hotwiring or disabling Mahone's car. I thought Sara had hotwired Mahone's car & drove his car to get the car she & Michael had left behind. It looked to me that she was driving her car when Michael came out of that building.... And Keith, your thought wasn't so random about that fax Sara had gotten from Michael. I also thought the fax was a set-up... I can't wait for T-Bag to free himself and goes after Bellick & Roy.It's gonna be a fun game of tag, with T-Bag after Bellick & Roy, Bellick after Roy, & Roy running for his life with that bag of money. As far as Sucre is concerned, he is so sick with his love for Maricruz, that he's going to get caught if he's not careful. I would hate to see that.

That's Dr. Tancredi to you!
This episode was OK, some of the better moments were the meetings with Michael and Mahone, and Michael and Sara.
I know they're not going to, but they really should finish off TBag(killed, arrested, whatever). Sucre's storyline is getting lame.

Please re-read Jake's comment. He is saying that she was looking for some keys, and IF she had found them, she would have started the car. But, she did not find any, so she ripped the wires apart to disable the ignition. she them (presumably) walked/ran to her car, and drove it back to Michael.

The only part that threw me off was after Lincoln and LJ were in the accident in the back of the patrol car in Arizona (Phoenix was sending backup so they were deep into AZ)and then in the next scene with them they are pulling into a house in Trinidad, Colorado (south of Colorado Springs)? That's quite the jouney in what seems like no time at all.

What's even more confusing is that they used stock footage of Boulder, CO not Trinidad. Boulder is 1 1/2 hours north of Colorado Springs, making the trip even less plausible from Phoenix.

I loved the little homage to Pulp Fiction when Bellick was torturing T-Bag to the Katrina and the Waves song.
Prison Break is so much fun. I can't get enough.

Trevor - I haven't watched the scene again, but I'm fairly sure that she *did* actually find the keys in the glove box...

The reason I'd imagine they didn't turn in T-Bag for the reward money was because of all the stuff they had done to him. Plus the police would wonder why the had him tied up and didn't contact anyone for 24 hours. Best to just take the 5 million instead of answering a bunch of questions.

Willcox to Trinidad would be at least 10 hours. And why would Phoenix send backup? Tucson is by far closer to Willcox. The writers should look at a map when they are writing about states they aren't familiar with.

Where have you 'literal' types been? This is a Fox show. We don't need no stinkin reality. It's all about the action on Fox.

I don't watch the previews for next week, so maybe this is a lame question, but am I the only one that thinks that Bellick was killed, not just knocked out? That blow to the head looked bad enough, before he went and got a second blow. At a minimum, I would think this is hospital/coma time for Bellick (although he does look like he has a hard head).
And why is Michael taunting Mahone? It's one thing to leave him alive, it's another to say "I'll always win". If he knows that Mahone is being blackmailed, and he believes that Mahone wants to do the right thing, why not see what it would take to recruit him?
Finally, are we done with the wacko in the football helmet that was last seen on the bicycle? I know they need to stretch out the remaining fugitives, and they are setting up for a reunion of at least Michael and Sucre, but can we move along on the dead weight and add some pressure to the IA investigation of Mahone?

What I'm still trying to figure out is how LJ is ok. Didn't he get hit by a car last episode? He seems fine now.

Big T, It didn't cross my mind that Bellick was killed as a result of those hard blows to his noggin.... However, I find your other comments quite interesting & something to think about.

Just one thing for prosperity. I'm 100% sure that the brothers Schofield and Burrows are not going to Panama. They're telling each and every person they meet that they're going to end up in panama, so we can assume that they're not. Lincoln saying it to his father seals the deal for me. I'm saying in this dead post so that when it comes up, I can safely say I knew it. :D

BigT-- I don't think Michael knows about Mahone being blackmailed. He just knows what Mahone's ex-wife told him - that Mahone killed a guy and buried him in his backyard. And I LOVE the crazy guy. He's meant to add a little humor to the seirousness of the show.
Avi--Wasn't LJ limping when he and Lincoln got out of the cop car and tried to run away?
If the brothers do go to Panama, they're definately not staying there. Is it really just a coincedence that Mahone told Michael he'd follow them to Panama? I think not - this is Prisonbreak and NOTHING is coincedence.
