(S06E06) The "fallout" of the title refers to the Kryptonian trash Kal-El brought back with him when escaping from his (approximately five-minute) imprisonment in the Phantom Zone earlier. In a good opening sequence that sets up the villain, a winged-creature thing possesses the body of the first Earthling unfortunate enough to encounter it. He's played by Bow Wow. However, from there on in, this hour of television is especially talky.Hey, I want more Green Arrow. Slinging arrows at Zoners would have made Ollie a pretty lame sidekick for Kal-El, I suppose, so I'll have to wait till next week. No matter, Zoner hottie Raya returns, bearing superpowers and many half-digested lumps of exposition about Jor-El and Krypton to pass alone. She speaks in a throaty, steady, monotone that's robotic, yet sexy: as if she studied elocution under Cylon Model #6.
Raya knows everything about everything from Brainiac's power schematic, to the nature of Clark's true destiny, to Jor-El's special plan for this world. I missed her old road-warrior Phantom Zone get-up however, which she traded-in tonight for clothes from the same outlet mall were every Smallville woman shops.
Jimmy's back, and his previous studliness seems to have been an put-on. He acts like a kid, and Chloe has no choice but to relate to him like one. Ah Chloe, not only is she stuck schooling Lois in journalism skills, she has to instruct Jimmy now too. When Clark decides he's going to be a reporter as well, I hope Chloe's head doesn't explode. It's the only head on the show that is consistently functioning.
The Lana and Lex show was almost too creepy for me to look at this week. Lex talks to his new girlfriend like he is her father. I know Lana is supposed to have issues, what with being an orphan and having that broken relationship with emotionally unavailable Clark and all, but come on, this is like watching a Vincent Price movie, or the adventures of TomKat, as Lex tries to shape Lana into a a creature of his own devising.
The way Raya, and also the character played by Bow Wow, were set-up I thought they were going to be around a little longer. Instead, the villain is defeated, in what has become signature season six fashion, within one or two brief encounters. Raya, having delivered all her dialog, is sacrificed to recharge Jor-El's crest, and set-up the rest of the season. First: catch all the zoners, then: begin Jor-El training regime (I'm guessing) over the summer hiatus. Even so, I felt bad for Clark: alone again, Kryptonian-ly. Still, that's a better fate than Raya's. Sad.

More Green Arrow!!! Justin is so fantastic. When he left Passions, the show went to pot. I was so excited that he would be Aquaman, only to have the CW shoot it down. He is great as my all time favorite character, the Green Arrow, whom I have had the hots for since the first time I picked up a comic book lo, these many, many years ago. Justin has that cockiness that IS Ollie, but that sweet smile, and more charm than should be legal.

I'm really disappointed that Raya didn't stick around longer. Not only would it have been cool for Raya and Clark to fight side-by-side, but she could help the story move along significantly. It would've been cool to see Raya and Clark go up against a "gang" or group of zoners. It doesn't make sense that Clark would face each one, one-on-one, but that's how it will probably end up happening. I'm sure some of the zoners would've banded together; that would certainly make it more interesting. Maybe a 3-4 episode arc where zoners bail each other out as Raya and Clark hunt them down.
I was also hoping that Raya could teach Clark how to fly, it would certainly be a change from the typical episodes where Clark discovers new powers. It seems like Jor-El's training for Clark could be the end of the series. It seems reasonable, and would leave a nice gap between the Smallville now and when Clark returns to be a reporter at the Daily Planet. BTW, is school out or something in Kansas? I thought Clark was in college, maybe Professor Fine scared him away ;).

Poor Lana. She thought Clark had secrets ! Anyone who wasn't desperate for companionship could see Lex Luther is interested in Lex Luther first. Maybe, all that money and power tempted her into believing he was actually someone "nice" . Her loss and Lois' gain. Afterall, that's the way it's supposed to happen.

I think it sucks that Raya had to die again... and so soon. I was really looking forward to having her around so much. Admit it... she is hot! Also, she really would have added a lot to the show as the 'assistant' to Jor-El... she had to have some serious knowledge to pass on. Annnd... Clark could finally have a 'not-so-fragile' girlfriend.
Green Arrow? Ok... He Rocks! A long time comic colleector, Green Arrow is one of my favorite characters. I like how they have developed his character as the Chaotic goodly status most of us grew to love in the comic books.

I think that Smallville is great and should continue it even when he learns to fly. They should bring Doomsday and maybe Imperiex in the show at the end and finsh the show with some big catastrophy. Later they can make a movie which will be ,, What happened after thaht big catastrophy'' or samothing like that it would be very very very interesting!!!!!!
