One of Canada's greatest TV exports, next to The Kids in the Hall, was Degrassi Junior High. If I've got my lineage straight, The Kids of Degrassi Street begat Degrassi Junior High begat Degrassi High begat Degrassi: The Next Generation. The long-rumored Degrassi: The Next Generation graphic novel series, entitled Extra Credit, has hit bookstores in Canada, and while we can't be sure if national pride has taken over or not, Volume One of the series is earning raves from its young readers.
Each book in the series will be written by J. Torres, but different artists will helm the illustration of each issue. Artists Ed Northcott, Eric Kim and Ramon Perez are all on board.
And, if you think you can handle even more Degrassi, the comic is being developed into an animated series. That's what we call one successful franchise.
Extra Credit is available to U.S. readers for pre-order at Amazon.com.

I believe Jeremy Brett is British. According to imdb, which sometimes isn't totally accurate, I know, he was born in Britian to British parents.

He is British. I was referring to the production of the show, which for some reason, I thought was shot in Canada. It was produced by Granada though -- a British company. Maybe, I saw the show on Canadian television growing up. Who knows? Correction made.
