The furriest member of the Comedians of Comedy and Dog Bites Man team Zach Galifianakis is embarking on a fall tour. If you've missed out on Galifianakis' more recent outings, you may remember him from the short-lived VH1 talk show Late World with Zach.
If you haven't seen Galifianakis live, you're in for some of the most experimental stand-up to hit the stage since Andy Kaufman took Carnegie Hall out for milk and cookies.
The big time, exciting part of the tour, however, is that he'll be joined by different guests at each stop including Sarah Silverman in Las Vegas and, lucky Los Angeles, by the whole Comedians of Comedy gang plus Eugene Mirman and David Cross and H. Jon Benjamin of Comedy Central's Freakshow.
Don't fret if you're not a West Coaster, Galifianakis will also be playing Richmond, Boone NC, Fayetteville and Orlando.

Patton Oswald was the funniest person in the Comedians of Comedy. And Zach is funny, but he's not doing anything that Steven Wright and Mitch Hedberg didn't do. He just does it with a piano.

Compared to Andy Kaufman? I don't think so.
I miss Mitch Hedberg.

Oh man I completely forgot about Dog Bites Man. That show was so weird and hilarious. Zach was great on that show (I always laugh when I think about him falling forward instead of backwards during their team building visit).
I guess the show got cancelled...any official word?

Oddly enough, I just saw him and Patton here in Atlanta this past Thursday. Both were hilarious as usual. Zach got down into the audience to walk around and do some crowd work. He walked right in front of me and my friend (I thought he was going to pose some questions to me, in fact), which was also really cool. He even took about 20 minutes of his set to bring onstage this drunken college kid who was yelling crap at him, and totally roasted him the whole time. For something that was completely improvisational, he made it sound natural and kept it going for quite a while. Definitely a great show.
