EightNine-year old Jacob Roloff is in serious condition at a Portland, Ore. hospital following an accident with a pumpkin catapult on the family farm. Jacob is the youngest of the Roloff family, which owns a farm in Hillsboro, Oregon and also stars in the TLC show,
Little People, Big World. Jacob's father, Matt Roloff, says Jacob and a farm employee were using the catapult when it triggered at the wrong time. Both were rushed to a local hospital.
**Update: Matt Roloff
details the accident here. It sounds like everybody's going to be okay.

My prayers go out to the family for a healthy recovery for Jacob and your farm worker. We started watching your show because we used to live in Hillsboro, but keep watching it because we thoroughly enjoy show. The fact that I have 4 kids I feel I have related to many of your stories ie. drivers license, trips to Manzanita (great vacation place), mothers day,(Matt, can you talk to hubby here about getting me an organizer? ), trips to grocery store with kids(helpppppppppppp different wants and execution plans)... thank you for bringing back memories. Mine are now 18-23 year old but feels like yesterday! Bless you and your family!

I love the show and have been watching it from the first episode. I have family in Eugene OR. and have been flying into the Portland airport since I was born. I love watching the show because I feel like I'm visiting every time I watch the show, even re-runs. I feel as if I know the family. I am so glad they are on TV for everyones awarness. I am praying for Jacobs quick recovery along with the farm worker, because I know they are treated like part of the family. I hope the next time I visit my family I can go to the farm in season to pick whatever they grow.

I send my thoughts and prayers to the roloff family as well. I love the show and the humor that is so much a part of this family.
It always makes me laugh at the amount of schemes that Matt comes up with. He is like a cross between Homer Simpson and Fred Flinstone. Always looking at a way to change their lives and make it better or make more money. Totally hilarious!

To the Roloff's,
Matt and Amy, we feel like we know your family so well as we are great fans of the show. When we saw the pumpkins out this season, we all smiled and thought of last seasons show and the fun you guys had with the pumpkins. We were so sad to here about the accident, but are relieved to know Jacob will have a full recovery. I know Amy must have been scared being out there when it happened. Jacob, take care of yourself and do what your parents say when now that you are home, so you will back 100%. Jeremy, Zach and Molly, help your parents and support Jacob. You guys are such a wonderful family. We will keep praying for Jacob and Mike.

To the Roloff family:
Our Prayers go out for Jacob and Mike. Also to the family itself as I know how close you all are. In life there are things that happen that is because of something that we did and other times things happen not by anything that we did at all. In either case it is not for anyone to judge and say why. But it is due to things of this nature that bring us all closer together and make us realize just how precious each and every individual person is. Jacob and Mike we wish you a speedy recovery.
Matt, you may be interested to know that here in Delaware we have what is called the Pumpkin Chunking Contest every year. People come from just about every state to compete. It draws thousands of people a year.
