ABC has a bit of a problem. Dancing with the Stars is going to end soon, they are down to the final four now, and with that it will lose two of the top five shows on TV. They've announced their plan for Wednesday. Beginning November 22, the results show will be replaced with a new game show from Endemol USA called Show Me The Money. Contestants will be presented with 13 dancers on stage and each of the dancers will have a scroll. As they answer trivia questions, dollar amounts from the scrolls will be added to or subtracted from their total. The press release also says that the 13 dancers will be ready to break into any style of dance at any time, "while audacious master of ceremonies William Shatner spontaneously boogies with the beauties on stage." Shatner... boogies with the beauties.I'm guessing this show will do ok. It has as much appeal as Deal Or No Deal, or 1 vs 100. But it won't approach the same numbers that DWTS gets. Add to that the fact that Lost will be replaced by Daybreak, and the night will be anchored by the floundering The Nine, and things don't look so good for ABC Wednesday. No word on what they are going to do with that Tuesday at 8 slot yet.

Is this a joke? They are replacing one of their biggest shows with this?

I'm surprised they don't have another season of Dancing lined up for the winter. I fully expected them to run the concept into the ground. Not that I mind, though. The less mindless pablum on tv the better. Too bad their sticking a game show in that slot instead of a new scripted series, because that timeslot is going to waste. Bones will be the only worthwhile option, and even that isn't very good.

This new show sounds really--really--lame.
Even with the 13 dancers it sounds really lame or maybe when because it has 13 dancers who can break into spontaneous dance at any time it sounds lame.
Where do these people come up with these ideas and who at ABC/Disney approves this crap???

Now's the time on Sprockets when we dance!
Seriously, though. This is insane. I would've thought that you had gotten hold of a hoax press release if you hadn't provided that link.

Wasn't ABC going to put George Lopez and According to Jim there?

Taylor, you are correct. When they announced the schedule originally, that was the plan. I guess they think they can get more viewers with a game show than with George Lopez and According to Jim. And, I think they might be right about that.

Watch: I bet this Shatner show becomes a huge hit and it fills that 8PM time slot twice a week just as well as Dancing with the Stars did. Then, Dancing with the Stars will come back early next year and dominates. Rinse and repeat.

I don't know folks. Shatner has been on a really good roll the last few years. America is having a kind of love affair with the guy lately and if the show is even half good, it'll fly with the Shatman in charge. I look for it to be the surprise hit of the winter season just because no one expects it. In the meantime, ABC will advertise for Boston Legal during this show and cross pollinate viewers on Tuesday and Wednesdays. Stay tuned!
