Fans of The Amazing Race should be happy to know that Peter and Sarah have broken up. IGN has a question-and-answer with the duo, who were eliminated from the competition last Sunday. They don't say much about why they broke up -- uh, I think we can guess that Sarah did the dumping -- but they do talk about their behavior on the show, especially Peter. When he's asked about why he kept wanting to quit during challenges, he gives a bullshit answer, saying "I'm going to quit" is a motivator to him. Whatever, pal. He also accuses the producers of editing out his good moments and only focusing on his bad ones. Racers Tom and Terry did an interview when they were eliminated and they said the producers portrayed them and everyone else accurately and fairly-- and I trust those two more than I trust Peter. The couple also talk about their high and low moments, other racers, and Sarah's climbing challenges.Amazing Race's Peter and Sarah broke up

Is this news? I thought we could already deduce from the last episode that Sarah was done with him. I can not imagine them staying together after the way he acted during the race.

Yeah, same here. Sarah made it pretty clear by the end of the ep that he was not the guy for her.
He was a real prick... always treating her like his creation. What a creep! I'm just glad Sarah saw him for who he was.

I looked at their MySpace profiles a couple of weeks ago, and they both said they were single. It made sense then, and it makes sense now.
Of course, their break up might have been more poignant if they had acted like a couple on the show. Like, at all. If it wasn't for their little caption, I wouldn't have even known they were dating. For a while I thought it was a typo.

She dumped him in front of Phil after saying she needed someone who's, "Caring."
Ouch.

They obviously paint some participants in a special light. Really, pay attention to how many lines are spoken in the show, when you don't see the person's face at the same time. They could totally pull a soundbite from one context to make it an inflamatory response in another context.

He was a complete jerk. He had no empathy for Sarah at all, treating her like like a thing rather than a person. I think he hit a low when he made Sarah climb the side of a mountain while he lounged in the boat below and called out, "Go, Sarah." Please, where was his sense of chivalry. It's one thing to share the challenges, but this guy was a creep. She deserves better.
