No spoilers in this preview, Simpsons fans.

I'll have a few review when the episode airs on November 5, but here's a taste of what you can look forward to:

The first vignette, titled "Married to the Blob," spoofs the classic camp classic The Blob, this time with Homer becoming an ever-enlarging mass of man-blob who just can't stop himself from eating every person he comes across. As always, it takes Marge to finally talk some sense into Homer, with a little help from guest star Dr. Phil.

In "You Gotta Know When To Golem," Bart a Golem, a monster from Jewish folklore, to life and uses the obedient monster to pull pranks on his friends and family. Richard Lewis guest stars as the voice of the monster.

Finally, there's "The Day the Earth Looked Stupid," which features Maurice LaMarche as the voice of Orson Welles, a voice not too far removed from his Brain voice from Pinky and the Brain. After finding out the radio broadcast of War of the Worlds was just a hoax, Depression era Springfield is taken over for real by aliens Kang and Kodos. As you know, this sequence is a satire on the current situation in Iraq, but the finally line, in which one of the aliens actually points out the connection, seems rather unnecessary. There's apparently been some talk as to whether the episode that airs on November 5 will include that line. Sometimes stating the obvious can be funny, but in this case the point is already well made by the end of the episode.
