This past issue of USA Weekend offered up an interesting article on the type of people who watch the three versions of CSI and Law & Order. Being that each version of CSI and L&O are fairly unique, different categories of people can be defined for all six shows.
For instance, the article says that fans of the original CSI, which takes place in Las Vegas, are voyeurs who have a secret dark side and are attracted to mysterious types. If you watch Law & Order: Criminal Intent you are an analyst. The article defines the fan of CI as someone who grew up reading Sherlock Holmes novels. If you watch the original Law & Order you are a traditionalist who is probably a bit ticked off about Dennis Farina's replacement on the show.
Personally, I'm an analyst all of the way, with a little bit of the SVU protector. If you want to find out a little more about yourself you can view the complete article at this link.

I'm a fan of the Original CSI along with L&O SVU And CI. Does that mean I have multiple personality disorder?

Pretty good, the only procedural drama that I watch at all is Law and Order: Criminal Intent and I did grow up on Sherlock Holmes novels. It also doesn't hurt that Vincent D'Onofrio is one of the best actors around.

For me the real motivating factor when selecting a favorite show, is (my personal frustration) with David Caruso. An award should be given to Mr. Caruso for the worst melodramatic actor or the most stupid one liners given in a single episode. I’d like to blame the writers for CSI Miami for only writing stupid dialog for this character, but I’d be surprised if Mr. Caruso could deliver anything more complicated.
For example: On a recent episode of SCI Caruso’s character drives a SUV (ready to explode) to a beach in Miami (in under 4 minutes). Caruso’s character then casually walks away from the vehicle before it explodes. He adjusts his sunglasses and delivers a one liner, “Burn Baby Burn” Who writes this SERIOUS CRAP!
Any Caruso fans! (Or NOT) Please Share.
FYI – I’m a Law and Order Fan

I watch ALL 6 shows! Have VCR, will conquer. I'm glad that CBS & NBC finally listened to us viewers and put them all on seperate nights-so each network really WINS. When they had them up against each other-it really sucked, and I had VCR tapes for each show & network. Now I can sit & tune in to each show. Plus the old re-runs on A&E, USA, TNT & Spike. I guess my personality is split- I LOVE 'EM ALL!!!!

Yeah- I watched the same show and thought the same thing-the driving over the causeway and to the shore seemed like an awful lot longer of a ride than 4 minutes-considering I live in a very small state w/ALOT of shoreline and bridges and it takes me more than 4 minutes to get to the frwy-let alone the shoreline. But hey-it's TV-not reality. Chill out Steve. Yes- I love David Caruso in ANY show!

Don't like American TV show's? Change the channel, duh!
Don't insult American TV- I've lived in different countries and THEY show AMERICAN SHOWS, so shove yer vulgarity down yer throat. You don't belong on this website w/that kind of language.

I love American Tv shows! That's all i watch. I just can't stand the stupid shows like the 29 versions of CSI or Law and Order. I love serial tv when you actually have to pay attention and tune in the week after to figure out what's going on. Procedural tv shows are just tv's version of Fast Food. Oh and don't get me started on shit like Dancing With The Retards. :D

Agree with Stephen. David Caruso is the number one reason to avoid CSI: Miami.
While I like vanilla CSI, I've recently decided to drop CSI:NY due to a key difference between the two. While vanilla CSI doesn't treat the audience like we're rocket scientists, at least it doesn't assume we're complete idiots. CSI:NY doesn't believe we can remember a clue over an act break; it always spells out the clue trail (which, incidentally, often includes some pretty far-fetched leaps) step-by-step-by-step-by-step over and again.
CSI:NY has "a level of sophistication"? Yeah...okay. Right.

So I'm a voyeur because I like CSI-Las Vegas.
What evidence does USA Today cite to make that claim?

csi is to hard to understand sometimes. Some of my friends are csi fans so i try to watch it, but it sometimes gets boring.Svu on the other hand always keeps my interest. It also helps that they have the hottest man ever on the show.(Christopher Meloni)I love it!!!!!!!
