Let the 24 hype begin! Today, Fox released a new trailer for season six of 24 and it looks pretty damn good. I've watched the show before and haven't liked it, but the trailer kinda makes me curious. It seems different than before-- with all hell breaking loose on the streets of America and Jack Bauer reaching superhero status. I don't want to ruin it for you, so I will just give you these few notes: Jack has a beard, Chloe is wearing a suit, and Fox Newschannel is already getting lots of product placement. Season six of 24 premieres Sunday and Monday, January 14 & 15 at 8 pm.Go watch it here and tell me what you think.

I don't think dissapointed is the right word, but it definitely wasn't what I was expecting. I guess I was expecting to see Jack fight his way out of the Chinese kidnaping plot. Don't get me wrong though, I still think it looks good. In fact it looks more potentially relevant to what could happen in today's society than terrorists smuggling in mass amounts of nuclear weapons or biological weapons. Just crazy fundimentalists blowin' stuff up. Go Jack.

I trust that the writers are making the right decision... because seeing Jack hauled off to China seemed like a cliffhanger we all wanted resolution with.

This was a very exciting teaser, the terrorist plot looks very realistic, and i've always thought when we have sucide bombers in our streets, this nation is going to go nuts, and this is what it looks like is happening in the teaser. I am getting really pumped for this season of 24, i've watched from the very beggining on TV and i have to say that they keep raising the bar. Here's to another excellent season of 24!

what is with tv squad and bloggers who dont like/havent watched shows writing about them? im sure one person likes/the show and might have a more informed/nuanced stance on the show. nothing wrong with people who dont like/watch shows writing about them, but you'd never have barry melrose announcing a football game.

yeah #7, i wish stupid ass developer would figure out that the world does not revolve around windows and that the point of the net is to be platform independent. as a web developer myself, i dont see the difficulty in formatting the file as either multiple formats, or something a little more 'universal' like flash.

I guess after last season, some of you went into a hole and stayed there until the trailer came out. It's been all over the net that the next season would begin roughly 18 months after last season ended.
LOVED THE TEASER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I totally agree with Khamel (#6)-- why oh why are there so many bloggers at TV Squad who have never seen the show in question or don't like the show? And 24 is huge-- there is no shortage of devotees who could have handled this topic.

After seeing this trailer, I decided to traipse on over to IMDB for more info.
First off, it lists 24: The Movie for a 2008 release date. I have a feeling that this season segues directly into the movie somehow.
Next, this season starts at 6:00am.
Next, we have a bunch of returning faces for this season. Good Ol' intrepid Secret Service Agent Aaron Pierce returns as does Audrey Raines. Martha Logan also makes an appearance as well.
I know my ass will be glued to the TV (and Tivo) from January till May.

I don't get it. What did the Chinese government get out of releasing Jack?
Why would they do that?!!
Is it me or did they just totally blow by that point?
