Great news, King of the Hill fans: after a long wait FOX has finally announced that the eleventh season of the animated series will kick off on January 21 at 7:30 pm. The tenth season finale ended with Lucky and Luanne getting engaged and Luanne becoming pregnant, but according to the press release the eleventh season opener will focus mainly on Animal Control trying to rescue Bobby's pet snake from the toilet and causing a city-wide panic in the process. King of the Hill, despite always being stuck in a timeslot where even fans like myself can sometimes forget about it, is still consistently smart and funny even after being on the air for over a decade. I would love to see it bumped ahead into the primetime lineup with The Simpsons and the rest of FOX's animated shows, but I can deal with the lousy timeslot as long as FOX keeps bringing it back.

Maybe FOX will bench The War at Home and pair KOTL with Family Guy. That would be nice.

I agree. After being disappointed by many of the other Fox animated programs, King of the Hill has remained consistently clever, witty and funny for years.
It may also be in part due to the fact that I live in Texas and get more of the inside southern jokes. I actually know people that sound like Boomhauer.

Woo Hoo!! I was beginning to think that I would never set eyes on dear Dale again. He makes the show. And Bobby's quirks make you wonder what's up with him!!! Bravo, Fox!!!!!!!!!

King of the Hill is the Rodney Daingerfield of Fox Network - No respect! Mike Judge & Co. have soldiered on for years now while getting bumped all the time and almost never getting any good promos.
Viva Arlen, Texas!

Amen! It's a great show...So well written...I get a kick out of Peggy's avoidance of contractions...So many of the characters are so well-developed...I think the TX stuff holds up very well... (Arlen is obviously not far from the DFW metroplex area that was my haunt for about 1.5 years in the mid-80s)...Glad to hear KOTH is still kicking!
Bobby: "I'm gonna need a window seat, cause this flower is wilting."
