Doh! That's more than Horatio Caine makes!
Well, according to the AOL Salary Center. They have a list of the salaries of TV characters, calculated by the folks over at Salary.com, and that's Homer's salary. I've always wondered how someone like him can afford all the stuff he buys and his house.
Other salaries: Dr. Gregory House makes $191,011 a year, Michael Scott over at Dunder-Mifflin makes $89, 729 a year, and Executive Assitant Betty Suarez over at Mode magazine makes $49, 790. But the richest person on the list, at least this least (I'm sure Montgomery Burns would beat him) is Dr.Derek Shepherd on Grey's Anatomy. He makes over $386,000 a year. He's McRich!
I don't understand how the "stay-at-home mom" on Medium makes $134,000 a year. I assume that's from her medium-ness and not the stay-at-home-ness?

I'm surprised House makes that little. He's the head of an extremely important department at a teaching hospital. It's not like they wouldn't have a nice fat funding stream.

The "stay-at-home" mom on "Medium" has a part-time advising job for the District Attorney, which is half of what the show is about. But I find it very doubtful that she would make that much at a part-time job for the city.

And Olivia Benson at forty something thousand a year? a police officer in the NYPD with over 5 years service makes about $54,000. And she's a Detective, she seems to work ALL the time which means some very nice overtime!
Magazines may pay crap, but a high level/executive admin assistant makes decent money.

The entire cast of the Simpsons deserves half that and the animators half that.
COME ON SIMPSONS FANS....They are American Icons....
But I don't plan on having a Cow.
As I could use just 15 grand a year and I have a college degree in Social Work.

I am very surprised that the voice of Homer Simpson only gets paid $67,422 a year. I thought with a show that has been on air as long as them would pay them a lot more. The Simpsons has been on tv like forever. Only if I was their agent...

Yeah, that's what the characters make, not the actors. And here I thought that was obvious.

In Justice the lawyers are probably pawning those numbers with thier top clients they are the "best" defense money can buy, but I guessing that they are just using thier occupations and not really the characters. Another high paying job I can think of for any lead character, is New York Times Bestselling Writer, whose book is going to be/made into a Hollywood Movie/World Renowned Forensic Anthropologist. Her publishers just gave her a 100 grand car for good intial book sales. Plus she gets reimbursed for all expenses she makes and a state of the art lab.
