Geez. Suddenly Rosie is once again television's 'It' girl. The New York Post is reporting that the creators of Nip/Tuck are in talks with Rosie O'Donnell to create her own spinoff series (our Brett Love already speculated such things last month). O'Donnell appeared on the FX series earlier this month and will return to Nip/Tuck tonight as Dawn Budge, an earless lottery winner who pays Julian McMahon to sleep with her. (Rosie called Julian her "new Tommy" today on The View) Apparently, the producers liked the Dawn Budge character so much that they want to make an entire series out of her (Rosie's reps confirm the 'talks' to the Post). That would make Rosie one busy lady. I like her as a talk show host but have never thought much of her as an actor. At least it would allow Rosie an outlet for her bitterness that seems to be simmering underneath the nice exterior she's exuding on The View these days (I think she's a little of both- nice and bitter).
*Update: Rosie's website says talks are over and she said 'yes' to the series. Looks like it's happening, people.

If they do this, they will have Jumed The Shark and I will never watch the show again.

Could a spinoff technically shark-jump the show? I mean "Joey" couldn't have jumped "Friends" shark, could it?
I'm shocked at her career resurgence after the whole train wreck TV movie/toilet seat incident.

I realize Halloween is coming, but this news is absolutely frightening!!! Please God, no more of this loudmouth!!!
If they want to make a spin off of Nip/Tuck, go with some other character, say Brooke Shields or Melissa Gilbert. Anyone but Rosie.

I think they are calling it "King Ralph II", though they may go with the longer title "The Beverly Hillbillies Move to Miami".

I am not an Asian but I was astonished at R.O's insulting parody of the Chinese accent. Her so-called apology, about which I read, because I no longer watch the show, is inadequate and insincere.
