Bindi Irwin, the daughter of the late Steve Irwin, will carry on her father's legacy. The 8-year-old sweetheart is currently filming a documentary series for Discovery Kids. The wildlife series is called Bindi, The Jungle Girl. People.com has a quote from her that will tug at your heartstrings, she says, "I'm trying to get across the message that don't be afraid of animals, they're just put here on this earth to help the environment and everything like that." Steve Irwin will actually appear in some of the 27-part series, which he was filming when he died, but Bindi is the star. In fact, his death will never be mentioned during the series. Just like her dad, Bindi plays a girl who is fearless when it comes to nature. Discovery is trying to latch onto the gravy train of money after Steves death. Its like the Presley crowd still selling memories for personal gain. How much of a so called JUNGLE GIRL is an 8 year old? How about a show based on a Mafia killers death and name it Mafia Girl played by his daughter? Steve made his money by teasing crocs with pieces of chicken. Ironically, one of the most docile ocean creatures ambushed him. Talk about strange!!!! Bindi can tease kittens till she grows up.

You commenters are so pathetic. You do realize that this was in the works BEFORE Steve's death, right? And that several episodes had already been filmed BEFORE his death, right? So how is this exploiting her when this was already taking place? The only difference is that Steve is gone.
For the person who said a bit of fear and her dad would still be alive...do you fear your car? Because you're more likely to die in a car crash than any other unnatural death. It's the number 1 killer that's not a natural killer. So think about that the next time you get behind the wheel and then dare to criticize how another person died.
And for the one who said she can tease kittens, have you ever realized that a cat's scratch or bite can cause A LOT of damage and some serious infection to people? Typical domestic pets like a cat or dog can be just as dangerous as any wild animal. Kudos to Bindi for doing what she wants to do and not conforming to the public's idea of who she should be. Shame on people for trying to hold Bindi back and keep her in a box.
As for this article, there is some incorrect information. It was never said that Steve's death would never be mentioned. All they are saying is that it is unclear if and how the show will approach the subject, but that they would be careful discussing it since the show is aimed at kids.

What a fool to say those kinds of things!! I was raised in a small town around cows and horses and that kind of a thing and when you are raised around these kind of things you learn what you need to learn! I knew how to sattle a horse at 6 so is that the same thing that my parents did, witch was normal life to us is rong mabe you should think of what your parents tought you mabe not a hole lot for you to be so foolish and say something like this! Steve was an amazing person that brought so much to this world and you my not agree but millions of others do and that should make you think about what you said no matter how many foolish people like you are out there the fans of the hole Irwin family know what Steve did was amazing and the same for Bindi that girl is far beyond you she is a very smart little girl and you watch she will carry on her dads work and fools like you wont stop her! I think in this day in age you should keep those kind of things to your self after a hole nation has lost a great leader and have some kind of heart! My family loved Steve and the hole family we still watch him every time he is on so. to all of his family our prayers are with you stay strong! And never forget that Steve did AMAZING things in his short life! Maybe he was needed up top and his job was done hear! So to you Steve Rock on and to the Irwin family you also keep the messege moving. Much love and prayers the Ramirez family
