Hell hath no fury, as they say. The New York Post is reporting that a woman who had a one-night stand with MSNBC's Keith Olbermann was quite upset when the Countdown anchor hit the road after a session of sub par love making. The woman is so upset she started a blog about the ordeal, a blog that is apparently invite only. According to the woman, identified as "KarmaBites1" she and Olbermann met over e-mail, and after their night together he told her not to contact him again. You'll have to excuse my frankness here, but don't most guys say what they need to say to get laid and then make up excuses as to why they have to leave? "I'm sorry, but I have to go, I left a time bomb under my grandma and I only have ten minutes to dismantle it." Isn't this just part of the cycle of bitter relationships that culminates in a person growing old and eventually marrying anyone who's available and then having children through which they try to live vicariously to make up for the life they wish they had, smoking menthol cigarettes at youth sporting events and cursing at the coach between long wet coughs that sound like a draft horse choking on moist celery while a half empty flask of vodka rests at the bottom of their purse? Then again, maybe my grim view of human nature is misplaced. Perhaps I should see my doctor about upping the dosage on my medication. Either way, I hope we've all learned something today, whatever it might be.

It's worth pointing out that the accusation was published in the NEW YORK POST (a/k/a The Daily Rupert), which happens to share a corporate parent with FOX News Channel. And Olbermann is constantly at odds with FNC. Hmmm...

Yeah, challenging the source is a good argument... As Keith Olberman said yesterday on TVNewser, the corporate bigwigs are about making money. GM has supported K.O. because he has ratings, though he is only beating Hardball, Joe's show, Beck, and Nancy Grace. FOX supports liberal shows like Family Guy and The Simpsons.
The poster sounds like they are making excuses for another liberal male scumbag. Clinton raping a female Democrat supporter--she's trash.
So did this 1 night stand talk about the toupee? Details!

It was a one night stand, folks. He isn't obligated to see her again. You pays your money, you take your chances. What? He's supposed to marry her the next day?

When the New York Post's gossip section is the source, chellenging it isn't just a good argument, it's practically mandatory. In this case it has nothing to do with Olbermann being liberal, conservative or even communist. It's simply that the NYP gossip page does not hold itself to any journalistic standards and should not be construed as any kind of reliable news source.
That said, the woman's account of their encounter doesn't ring true to me, but I've known enough people whose behavior in their personal lives are so diametriclaly opposed to their professional behavior that they may as well not even be the same person, so I can allow for the possibility that her account of the situation is exactly as things transpired. What's really questionable though is the woman's motive for airing this out in public. She met a guy and had an unsatisfying encounter. Were Olbermann not a public figure there'd be absolutely nothing newsworthy about it and no news outlet would even listen to her. I believe it is safe to assume then that this woman is trying to get some measure of personal gain or attention by reporting this, which is really more of a reflection on her than it is on Olbermann.

Don't get the problem. two adults had consensual sex. end of story. he owes her nothing. she owes him nothing. most adults f^ck and move on with their lives. attention seeking whores make websites and whine that their consensual trysts should have been more. whatever.

Shouldn't the title to your post be "NY Post has no news"?
KO is being attacked in retaliation to his commentary the other day when NY Post made light of a possible terrorist mailing KO got. The cops took it seriously, NY Post are gutter snipes.
The Lady(?) is a Repub operative no doubt.

On the one hand, the NY Post's Page Six has a reputation for being ... uhm ... slightly less than accurate. On the other hand, I could see this happening. So I don't know.
Despite the fact that it runs Michelle Malkin (the Uwe Boll of opinion-based journalism), I still buy the paper for its sports section.

Keith has been one of the only courageous voices in America today, and the NYP is scared to death of him. They might affect the opinions of those that believe everything they read, but they won't influence people who can think for themselves and recognize sleazy journalism for what it is. They can't find any way to criticize his words, so they try and sabotage his character. They are only making themselves look like the fools that they are.

There is no evidence the person that runs this blog actually exists. It is a free blog, probably a sockpuppet--and it is really old news that "broke" last JUNE. Why is it coming back in October? I definately believe it is just Murdoch's attempt to needle Keith Olbermann who is the best newsman on television.

So two questions--why hasn't he denied this? Why hasn't he, in typical Olbermann fashion, gone off on this woman or even sued her? And secondly, where is the tie she claims he gave her at? It hasn't been seen on-air since May, when she claims she had the tryst with him.

I'm not going to argue the ethics of having a one-night stand. However, I'll agree whole-heartedly with the poster who said that people can lead lives totally disconnected with their professional selves. But Olbermann really doens't seem to hide his boorishness. He's now bragging on the radio constantly about his new live-in girlfriend. She's 22. He's almost 48. Ewwwwwww.

Good lord. A woman thinks she hits the jackpot by laying Olberman, he wants nothing to do with her, she writes a blog in an infantile way of embarassing him and suddenly it's a republican conspiracy?
Page six is a gossip page, not unlike the National Enquierer. You folks do realize that the NYP Page Six had quite a bit of articles about O'Reily's sexual harrassment ordeal a year or two ago right?
For heavens sake, get the republican bogeyman out of your heads and remove the foil caps.

I don't give a hoot about Keiths personal life or one night stands, I am only glad we have him to tell us how it is and the danger we are in. It seems most don't know or don't care what this lying SOB in the White House does or says. Wait until the only people on the streets are GOP. Some one said that when fascism came to America, it would be wrapped in a flag with a bible in it hand. Sound likt any one we know???
