(S03E10) And here we are for another week of results. After a recap of performance night, the judges choose Jerry & Kym for the encore. bhivxcvvyvbndij <-- That's what hitting myself in the head with the keyboard looks like in text. Am I just not getting the attraction to Jerry? Things take a turn for the better as Rod Stewart performs Hot Legs while Edyta and Kym dance. This was really good. Rod's still got it. A bit of a departure from what we are used to seeing Edyta and Kym doing, but still fun. They both looked great and did a nice job.
The first results put Mario & Karina and Monique & Louis into the safe zone. That leads into the disco freestyle routine. Very fun, with a bonus for choosing Boogie Wonderland as the music. Great song. The end was spectacular, with the girls being flipped and tossed all over.
Rod comes back to do Fooled Around And Fell In Love. I think this is my favorite musical guest so far. If you have to kill time, there are worse ways to do it than listening to him sing. Tom and Samantha reveal that Sara & Tony are safe while Jerry & Kym are in the bottom two. For a minute there I was thinking maybe there would be an end to the madness.
Emmit & Cheryl move on to next week along with Joey & Edyta. That leaves Willa & Maksim in the bottom two with Jerry & Kym. In the end, Willa & Maksim leave. And the crowd boos. Jerry didn't really look that happy to be moving on. I wanted to see Willa stick around a while longer, but that's how the game works. It was a nice run for her.

Come'on......this is supposed to be a dance contest not some kind of a joke!
I can't believe Willa got voted off last night! She had the most graceful waltz last week that I've ever seen by a non-professional dancer, and she just keeps getting better and better....maybe it is the chemestry between her and her partner, but it certainly works!
Jerry needs to go! Just because he has a bunch of losers voting for him shouldn't keep him on the show. Personally I think it should be left up to the judges who can dance and who can't!
I truely hope the network takes a look at changing this for next year's show. It is very obvious that someone can work their butt off to perform and not be rewarded for their efforts!

Well if the judges didn't bunch their scores together so that the popular vote was the deciding factor, this might not have been a problem. They fuss at Mario for trying to dance an entertaining number but then praise Jerry for it. Jerry or Sarah needed to go and Willa should have stayed.

Tie for first place - but still get kicked off? Sounds more like a popularity contest rather than a dancing contest...oh well.
Are the contestants, on average, more accomplished this season compared to prior seasons or are the judge's scores out of proportion?

I thought this was supposed to be a dance contest. Jerry may be entertaining but he cannot dance. If he stays again next week, I may just stop watching the show.

Jerry Springer can't dance. He has not put forth much effort for the show. The others have worked very hard and shoould be rewarded for their effort.
PLEASE! Get Jerry off the show NOW!

It is sad to see someone with Willa's talent being dropped while Jerry remains. I watch both for the entertainment and to see how each person grows from week-to-week. Willa has truely grown over the last few weeks and Jerry has not. This week the vote was too far on the side of how popular you are not on what talent you have. Very disappointing.

All I'll say is that the show is supposed to be about amateur dancers (the celebrities)being paired up with professionals. At least Jerry really is an amateur. It's totally obvious that nearly all of the others (Mario, Joey, Willa and that hideously cold and arrogant Monique)have had a LOT of previous training. So while Jerry is awkward, he is what the spirit of the show should be about.

Do you guys not get it? If all the judges scores are so close together, the ONLY thing that determines who goes on is the fan vote.
Judges = 50%. 24-27 points = 40-45% for everyone. 50% is up to the voters. This show has always, and will always, be about the fan vote.
This is NOT a dance contest. It is a TV show masquerading as a dance contest. To believe that it is anything else is just deluding yourself.

Jerry or Sara should have gone.....obviously the vote was a popularity vote and not based on dancing.

This is really a dance contest...Jerry Springer should go home and as much as I love Sarah..(singing wise)..she can't dance. I thought Willa and Max should have stayed. I am getting to think that this is fixed.

I agree that Willa & Maksim should have stayed, however Jerry's entertainment qualities are far above the country singer who can only do a very boring line dance (at best). She should have been the first to go. It is a shame to watch some very good dancing as a result of hard work in bringing out their talent and then see the reward go to someone who just can't cut it.
But remember the big rapper on a previous series... his staying around by the fan vote was totally pitiful!

nalgae's comment No. 7 asks: "Do you guys not get it? ... the ONLY thing that determines who goes on is the fan vote."
To nalgae: Do you not get it? That is exactly what every other comment is complaining about... and wish to see changed. So of course they "get it".
The judges vote is much to narrow. Len is very vocal sometimes as who should be voted off but he and the other judges are the biggest problem, not the fans.

Yeah, you guys are taking this a little too seriously. If you think this is an actual dance contest, you also probably think that American Idol is a singing contest. I don't vote since I record the show, but if I did, my vote would be going for Jerry. I would much rather see Jerry attempt to dance than Mario and his pompous attitude. He thinks he deserves a 30 everytime he goes out there, and when he doesn't get it, he just pouts.
At least Jerry can go out there and put on a great show. This is about entertainment folks and you know what this show's got me saying?
JERRY! JERRY! JERRY! JERRY! JERRY!
(By the way Willa was my second favorite, so to actually see both of them in the bottom two was pretty hard, ha ha)

It is a shame that they people who REALLY try to master the dance routines and do a great job at it, are the ones who get voted off. Most people watch this show to see the celebrities improve and grow over the weeks. We don't watch to see a middle aged man dance like a 6 year old in front of their parents video camera. We have now seen two dancers voted off that could dance circles around Jerry.

I think this show is not about talent rather than popularity. First of all for Monique and Vivica to be in the bootom two was a joke, then for Vivica to be voted off! come on now.please. Secondly...Sara! Sara! Sara!, stiff and no talant at all, maybe she can sing, but she CAN'T DANCE AT ALL. She should have been gone after Harry Hamlin or maybe before.

It's a disgrace how the vote system works. The show is not about who can dance better, but how many fans one
have out there voting several times on the same day. Willa & Maksim should have stayed.
Eventually, my family and I will stop watching the show!

I agree, Jerry and Sara are not that good. Willa was doing a good job and should not have been booted. Poor Jerry is there only because of fans...not talent or dance ability...and Sara, while she tries, is not a good dancer, either. Remember, this is not a popularity contest, but a contest of dance ability and performance.

Good job ignoring the main point of my post. What people aren't getting is that this isn't a real dance contest, yet they keep complaining and wanting it to be run like one.
As soon as you let non-professional judges (the TV audience) decide anything, it is not a real contest.

Please, give Jerry a break. He is awesome in my opinion and I'm sure in many other people's too. I just hope I can still move like that when I'm his age. People need to start giving credit where it is due and not just because someone is young and sexy.
