This show was awesome, and yes Jerry Lewis stole the show. What an actor. I love Jerry Lewis and this show. My favorite line in the show was when munch look at him on the floor in the holding cell and turned and looked at Dani and said "you locked up my uncle" Emmy winning episode.

im 46 and have always loved jerry lewis.well now i give him 5 stars 4 being best -give him one more for growing.heis a kind wonderful man who gives to children and to all his fans.thank you jerry looking for your next guest spot

Last season was definitely lacking of Munch episodes. It was good to see him get some attention again. Having Jerry Lewis portray his uncle was very good casting.

Thanks for the insightful review of the episode.

And the analysis of Det Dani Beck is a good one. She does seem to have more hidden issues than just losing her husband. In fact the character reminds me of a detective I once met whose hidden issues did not make her a good candidate for the exploited children's unit. Yet that was where she had trasnferred to from burglary.

Lewis and Belzer work very well together as actors and comedians. From what I understand, casting Jerry was a Turnabout's Fair Play thing.

Jerry had the opportunity to play a serious role as Munch's uncle turned homeless (filmed the first of the year). In turn, for Jerry's 80th birthday, Richard was roastmaster for the Lewis roast at the Friar's club in June. See my website for a photo copy of both comedians ("borrowed" from Getty Images).

Don't know which was planned first, but looks like both got the chance to do something they had always wanted to do and ended up closer as friends.

And I say Oliska can play undercover Fed in Idaho or wherever the hell she is for all eternity. Dani Beck is reminiscent of the Benson of old and I used to adore that Olivia so if Beck wants to stick around for a while and learn the ropes, I'm not complaining.

Since Mariska's personality has totally taken over the character and as I'm not a fan of barbie doll, weepy, perma-bake, lip-glossed, shallow, fake-smilin', possibly closeted, ex-Californian celebs/actresses/mommies, I'll skip on the (undeserved) accolades. When you take it upon yourself to ruin what was one of the best characters on TV, Marish, you won't get no lovin' from me.

Mariska may be blessed with a beautiful face and finally had her first baby, but you couldn't be more wrong in prejudging what she's like as a person.

Mariska cares about the people who write to her and she responds back. She founded an organization that helps survivors of sexual assault heal and rebuild their lives again. Plus she and Belzer are good pals, cause they both respect and enjoy each other's sense of humour. That ain't the descrip of some Hollywood gushy fake barbie doll.

Then you obviously haven't seen the same Mariska - who's plastered herself all over talk shows, premieres, events and various other photo ops for the sake of blowing her own trumpet - that I have. She's an actor. Actors, by their very definition are shallow and care more about appearance and star image and other such shallow pursuits, then the rest of us.

Ummmmm...for the record, you're blogging with a Artist, Writer, Comedian who used to have a sales/promo career (giggle).

Honestly there really are all sorts of actors who are seriously devoted to the craft of portraying a story...honest...and not just to glitzy gorgeous handsomeness. My brother was one of them. He was a stagehand and loved to play supportive roles in the local theater before he died tragically.

Yet I know what you mean. There are sadly "stars" in every occupation that ain't the least bit interested in being kind or caring past their own bloomin nose. Lots of those so called "stars" are sales people. That's why I don't do sales for a living anymore.

I'm curious what you base your assessment of Hargitay being involved with Joyful Heart Foundation in name only. She sacrifices time to be involved with the survivors of violence and abuse who receive help through the foundation. Perhaps her time is limited, but that doesn't describe the woman's heart.

I was also wondering if you are basing you assessment of Mariska not on meeting with her, but only on seeing her appear on lots of shows utilizing her sales/promo skills. You honestly can't tell the real person by only knowing they are talented in promoting themselves, products or causes they choose to support. Some folks are actually shy in person and truly love people (like me).

Do you know what Mariska does during takes filming SVU?? Responding to emails from her websites...I don't know any other actors who bother to do that.

For example, I wrote to one particular actor who is known for being more serious about his craft and the roles he plays--just to thank him for inspiring me to pursue a law degree. My correspondence was sent back, unopened.

Yet the actor that I thought would not even get my correspondence, much less write back--cared about the H E Double Toothpick I was going through, recognized my artistic talent and creatively corresponded with me.

In fact if it weren't for this comedian/actor (pal of Mariska's), I would probably not be alive right now. But then he's quite a uniquely caring guy and doesn't fit the typical Hollywood shallow hypocriticalness anyway. That's one reason why you rarely see his photo all over the news--he's shy like me. (=^..^=)

I also met another actor years ago who graciously gave me a hug and thanked "me" for caring to pray for him.

I'm sorry that you have trouble seeing actors as real people with real problems--the way the media focuses on those in the "lime-light" probably doesn't help change your perspective all that much.

Yet I like you anyway and wish you safe journey.

I need to know what the character in the Uncle episode of the svu, was diagnosed with. I think my daughter is suffering from the same thing and I haven't been able to get her help. This is extremely important.
