Sarah Michelle Gellar says that she doesn't think she could ever do a one hour series again because it is too exhausting. The former Buffy star goes on to say, "A movie is an hour and twenty minutes, and we were filming almost that every week." By almost that she means 45 minutes. It's possible that she may have vowed to never take another math class at some point too. I don't put a lot of weight behind her proclamation though. Sarah Michelle is having a good run of it with the movies right now. With The Grudge 2 in theaters, three other movies in post-production, and two more in pre-production, her plate is awfully full. And I am really looking forward to Alice. Still, those runs have a way of drying up, and we have seen all manner of movie stars come back to the small screen. A few years from now maybe, if the choice is random drama on random network or Scooby Doo 5, TV might look pretty good.

She really is a one-note type of actress, not much of a range in expressions, voice, emotions, etc. ...very flat personality in everything I've watched her in...and I don't think she has much in the looks department to help her along. I think she should count her lucky stars that she has been given the roles she has, that's amazing in unto itself. I don't see her as a big-screen stah movie actress, I would be shocked if she's offered huge roles, I predict she'll be in another t.v. series in 1 to 2 years.

SMG is a talented actress. I loved her in Simply Irresistable with Sean Patrick Flannery. She should be encouraged to do both movies and sitcoms. I would love to see Buffy and Angel do a show together again.I would also like to see her do more serious roles. Just to break her into new areas of entertainment.

Well, Cindy, I have what I consider to be more than adequate "mental status" (if you had more, you probably would have said mental function or mental acuity, etc.) and I very much enjoyed the show BECAUSE it was such an escape from reality. If I want reality I can pick up the newspaper or watch a news broadcast and be really depressed by seeing what the world has become. I enjoyed watching something that I KNEW had no possiblity of actually happening. Obviously, you must be a Reality TV Drone.

SMG has it all: beauty, talent, brains (she graduated from high school in 3 years). I hope for her immense success on the big screen, but I think a flat declaration that she will never do TV again is a misstep on her part. One never knows what lies down the road. Oh, and I liked Swans Crossing.

What the so called Vampire slayer means is A movie is 120 minutes You shoot it its done You dont return after its in the can On TV you rturn over and over each week to shoot the next episode. You work almost 16 hours a day some times untill 3 am or up at 5 am. Some people do 4 hours in makeup alone. There is constant yelling, abuse, others whom create problems, ect ect I think she'd rather stick to just doing movies It is easier. Having worked on Nash Bridges myself I can tell you there are some Id never work with again. So her math is not so fuzzy You have to be able to read between the lines Want me to help you get that size 12 out of your mouth?

SARAH MICHELLE GELLAR IS A FABULOUS ACTRESS!!! NOT TO BUST ANYONE'S BUBBLES HERE, BUT MAYBE THE REASON YOU'RE NOT SEEING HER REMARKABLE TALENT IS THAT YOU HAVEN'T GIVEN HER, OR HER ROLES A FIGHTING CHANCE.SO SHE'S HAD SOME NOT SO WONDERFUL PARTS HERE AND THERE, BUT SHOW ME ONE OTHER ACTOR OR ACTRESS WHO'S NEVER HAD A FLOP OR TWO.SHE IS A VERY PRETTY WOMAN...SHE DOES NOT GET BY ON HER LOOKS, BUT BY HOW HARD SHE WORKS ON ANY ROLE SHE PORTRAYS. IF YOU QUESTION HER TALENT, DON'T, BECAUSE HOW SHE COMES OFF ONSCREEN IS JUST ALL HER ABILITIES WORKING FULL STRENGTH! SHE'S A HUMAN BEING JUST LIKE YOU. DIFFERENCE IS, LOOK AT HER PLATE COMPARED TO YOURS, THEN RETHINK THE NEGATIVE THOUGHTS YOU'VE WRITTEN DOWN ABOUT HER. HER LIFE GETS ROCKY TOO-BELIEVE THAT!

SMG, is hot, cute, cuddly and a fine actress. Loved the BTVS series and loved her in Cruel Intentions. The days of the Betty Davis', Jane Mansfield's, Garbo's, Hepburns etc, are gone. Most of the pop fem's you see these days aren't around that long. SMG has a few years of acting under her belt, far beyond alot of the newer starlets...Please don't put Paris Hilton on your list of superstars....Give SMG her chance to become something more as time goes on. Far as the tv series thing is concerned....she doesnt need to take that long of a haitus, because many stars need to continue to drive forward before they are forgotten so easily..todays fans are quickly bored with seeing their favorite star every once in a while and the fans will drop their interest in a star in a heartbeat...depending on what the flavor of the day is.
I would love to see SMG in more sultry roles. She is very capable of pulling off roles like that.

One of the greatest disappointments on TV was the unresolved love interest between Buffy and Spike. Spike was the most colorful and likeable character in TV history, while Buffy was one of the most endearing and beautiful. I call nationwide for a reviving of these two characters just to see Buffy find out that Spike is still alive (as alive as a vampire can be) and to see them get back together. All TV love interests eventually work out even though we often have to wait years (look at Niles and Daphne). It was lousy to end the series with the best couple in TV history left apart.

first and foremost buffy was a great show, joss whedon is a great writer, and Gellar is a good actress, though she most definitly was not the greatest actor on the show. As far as sleepwalking through the last two seasons....that was the whole point of the sixth season!!!! I think she will contniue to have a fairly good film career....but i don't think she should say never.

Sarah Michelle is a fine actress, but also an ambitious one. She's always focused on what's ahead for her, instead of what she's done. Because she excels in dialogue-heavy melodrama like BtVS and AMC, it's tough to transition to dramatic films that rely on gesture more than dialogue. But she can do that, too, as evidenced in the final dream sequence in the first Grudge movie. I think she will be successful as long as she keeps her work close to the cutting edge.

One thing that has always bothered me about American audiences: people who have never acted or studied acting seem to know what good or bad acting is.

Dumb show, dumb actress....I wish her well but don't think she's very talented, some actresses can rely on their looks to get ahead but I think the competition is too stiff for her to go much further than she has.

Funny that is the people WITH brains that probably have enjoyed Buffy the most because they are able to see past the high-school aspect of the show and really get into it and understand it, and analyze it. Anyway, I wish SMG the best and will continue to support her movies, but will always love her time as Buffy the most.

SMG is a good actor.I completely understand her wish not to do another TV show as they are grueling at best.
In fact...being an actor in any venue(stage, movies,tv)is a tough job.If it is ones chosen profession(unless you have boundless energy and a huge ego to feed)one
venue is a fulltime, exausting job.I'm sure she will follow her heart and do what she thinks is best...and I'm sure whatever she chooses she will do well in.
