Sarah Michelle Gellar says that she doesn't think she could ever do a one hour series again because it is too exhausting. The former Buffy star goes on to say, "A movie is an hour and twenty minutes, and we were filming almost that every week." By almost that she means 45 minutes. It's possible that she may have vowed to never take another math class at some point too. I don't put a lot of weight behind her proclamation though. Sarah Michelle is having a good run of it with the movies right now. With The Grudge 2 in theaters, three other movies in post-production, and two more in pre-production, her plate is awfully full. And I am really looking forward to Alice. Still, those runs have a way of drying up, and we have seen all manner of movie stars come back to the small screen. A few years from now maybe, if the choice is random drama on random network or Scooby Doo 5, TV might look pretty good.

Don't get me wrong, I love Buffy. But I think SMG is not a terrific actress. Just watch the last two years of Buffy to see how she kind of sleepwalks through the role. Her roles since then have been very flat. I don't foresee her breaking out to become some kind of superstar.

Don't be snarky if you don't know your stuff. A TV show will shoot many, many more hours of footage than is necessary for an 45min long show.

While I think that SMG is a great actress and did a fabulous job on Buffy and while I would like to see her do well in movies I doubt she will. Shw does have the ability to play versatile roles from Buffy to Kathryn(Cruel Intentions) she lacks the presence to make her the star of the big screen. Alos for seven years she played the same role and gained such a huge fan following that many of her fans would find it unbelievable to see her in other roles.

I really like SMG. Loved her I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER! She had the BEST cat and mouse scene in that movie! Also loved her in the Scooby-Doo movies! I hate that they are not finishing them with a third. Fun movies are enjoyable to watch too. Loved her when she was on Buffy when opposite of Charisma Carpenter! LOVED all of their scenes together. That's where I saw all the comedy and fun stuff. She kind of blew me away in Cruel Intentions, too! Another good one of hers. I wish her the very best in all she does. I just don't want to see her get really skinny like some of those other actresses out there right now. I hope that she continues to appear healthy. Well, wish you the very best Sarah Michelle!

perhaps she really is tired and maybe she just wants to relax out of the limelight she has earned it and perhaps she will come back later. in the meantime she has left many performances that have delighted millions and millions so thanks for the work you did in the past and lots of happiness to you whatever you decide to do.

I can't believe that ANYONE with any kind of MENTAL status could find Buffy a decent show. I know TV is ab out fiction, but COME ON. Use your brains people. Go for something more realistic?

Who cares where or if she can act, she is HOT! If you hate her, she can't act, and her show sucked, Natasha, why are you taking the time to read and post about her? Either envy or way too much free time.

Buffy the VS was by far the best show on TV for quite some time. The dialogue, writing and acting were sharp, contemporary and loaded w/ intelligent humor. In SMG's favor, she made a ridiculous, campy role, believeable.Seth Green was always enjoyable on screen as our favorite warewolf and I'd put James Marsters as Spike up against any Nietchean anti-hero on the silver screen. Good Luck Sarah Michelle... you are a first rate actress!

SMG is a talented actress. I loved her in Simply Irresistable with Sean Patrick Flannery. She should be encouraged to do both movies and sitcoms. I would love to see Buffy and Angel do a show together again.I would also like to see her do more serious roles. Just to break her into new areas of entertainment.
