A few people pointed out in the season premiere review of Battlestar Galactica that Jammer might very well be a not-as-of-yet revealed Cylon. The tell-tale proof seems to be during the NCP graduation ceremony, where Duck detonates a bomb planted on himself that decimates everything and everyone in the area (or at least a great lot of them). The image above is taken from that very graduation, where Duck passes by Jammer. Obviously by the look on Jammer's face, he recognizes Duck, but does he figure out what's going on and hoof it out of there? Well, the next image may say he didn't.

Notice the person we can see behind Duck here. Is that Jammer? Could it be that he didn't high tail it out of there, was blown to smithereens only to later be resurrected into another Cylon body? The thing is, I don't remember any previous scenes that indicated Jammer would know anything about Duck's plans. Was it because he knew what happened to Duck and knew he was suicidal? Wouldn't it have made sense for them to show us that he ran the heck out of there? And if he didn't, wouldn't he at least be pretty banged up?
Since I'm asking these questions, obviously we don't know the answer to my question any time soon, though you will soon see a development in this whole story that may prove to be very interesting should Jammer prove to be a Cylon. You'll have have to wait and see.

There are clues but I dont buy it. Obviously people survived Duck's bomb. How do you think they knew what happened?
As to Jammers proximity, there is room for discussion there.
But if he is a cylon, why did he let Cally go?

They actually address this in the official podcast, saying that they intended to film a scene of a dazed Jammer emerging from a pile of bloody body parts, but the scene wasn't cost effective. I don't think he's a cylon.

If you listen to the offical podcast they explained that they were meant to show a flasback of Jammer crawling out of all the dead bodies but they couldn't afford to shoot it. In the final show he flashed back to arrested Cally instead. I doubt he's a Cylon, it's more interesting to see a human working for the Cylons point of view.

Jammer being a Cylon never even crossed my mind. If you had watched the webisodes of BSG then you'd probably not think he was a Cylon. Of coarse I could be wrong.

There were survivors from the attack. When the Cylon leaders were discussing afterwards they didn't say that all 200 NCP recruits had perished.

The same thought crossed my mind the second time I watched the episode. I think they actually made apoint of of showing him before and after the bomb blast.

I don't think he is, but that doesn't mean he won't turn out to be down the line.

Hey.. EASY ON THE SPOILERS.. or NEAR SPOILERS, whatever.. This title surely taints the show for those that haven't watched it, and by putting it in the title, or even the regular story, and not "After the Jump", you're tainting the show for LOTS of people.
Don't be like the anusses over at Autoblog who proudly spoil races. Be cool, don't spoil.
Thanks,
Steve

Stephen, this is a blog about TV shows. If something airs I consider it fair game. not this blogs fault that someone hasnt watched it when the show was on the air. Plus, its been 4 days since then as well.

I might be leaning on the yes side. Wasn't he found in the arms locker room in season 1? Than when found said "it's me Jammer, Jammer don't shoot". My only problem with this is would the writers have thought that far ahead? Or maybe they planned on him coming out (I guess from the Cylon closet) in season 2 or something. Only time will tell.
As for the spoiler thing. I don't know if "Is Jammer a Cylon" is a spoiler what does it really give away about the episode. I only hate when they show a picture of somebody who has been eliminated from a reality show along with the headline. Because like a lot of the internet community we don't watch it on the same day as aired. And knowing who gets eliminated is a HUGE spoiler.

Even if there were no human survivors, the Cylons present, especially the one that was congratulating Duck as he detonated the bomb, ressurected with full knowledge of what happened.

If Jammer is a cylon -- he'd have to be a sleeper agent like Boomer, based on his previous behavior.

I don't buy it. I mean, first of all, jammer is too weak of character to be a cylon. Kinda like why I never thought Ellen Tigh was a cylon, she was far too flawed.
that, and only about 30 of over 200 died, plus when the medals were being passe dout, they were all in a single line.
Gaeta remains my number 1 cylon suspect

Go back to Season Two when the Galactica is infiltrated by Cylon Centurians - the only person who survives an attack in a dead end corridor - Jammer. He is foudn hiding in a supply closet. Coincidence? He certainly has a way of beating the odds. My bet is that he is a Cylon and he doesn't know it. How did the Cylons learn about the weapons in the Temple and Tigh's involvement in the resistence? My bet's on Jammer.

after watching the webisodes yesterday, i don't think jammer is a cylon (though i was thinking that during the premiere). if he is, he's a sleeper agent, because at one point they bring him in for one on one questioning with the kevin spacey-looking cylon.
there is, however, a redheaded woman in the resistance, shown during key scenes, who i think will turn out to be a cylon. does anyone watching the webisodes know who she is? I don't have the dvds, and didn't recognize her from previous seasons.
she was there when they planned to move the weapons into the temple, and then she was there when jammer was arguing with tighe about that move, and the cylon raid.
shortly after that he's brought in for the questioning i mentioned above. it seems to me that the woman knew he was on the fence, and it would be the perfect time to sell the iraqi...uhhhh...new caprica police force idea to him.
just a thought...

I am fairly certain the red haired girl was on of the original Bucaneer team mates back on caprica.
Not a cylon imo.

i don't think so... duck was the only one they showed praying and strapping explosives on.
those webisodes really do clear a few things up (at least for me).
before i watched them i thought Duck was a cylon, because before he dentonates he says, 'i'll see you soon'.
i thought he was talking to xena-cylon, using the same line starbuck's cylon uttered after she killed him.
i didn't realize he was talking to his dead wife; the reason he took on the suicide mission. the webisodes make that clear.

Akbar: I couldn't remember is she was a member of the team, or the resistance, but now that you say it, I remember the introduction of the group, and she was definately part of the team. I'm with you, I don't think she's a Cylon... I think they played out the hidden Cylon in that group with Brother Cavill (I'll never spell that right... Just made me think of that brilliant scene with Stockwell shouting that he wasn't a Cylon until he mets himself).
I think the Jury is still out on Jammer. You don't think they could have a weak character with crisis of self? They could, the question really is do they want to repeat the storyline? bambeluvr brings up a good point, I had forgotten Jammer in that episode.
We're going to need more Cylons, but I don't think any from the main cast would believeable at this point.
Someone mentioned Gaeta. The Spoiler Anon post from this summer (I'm not jumping in on this post being a spoiler. Get over it, seriously.) said that talked about "Early on, someone widely speculated as a Cylon will show that they are most likely not" (or something to that effect). When I watched the premier, I figured that we were talking about Gaeta... I don't think that you can justify his helping the resistance and being a Cylon sleeper. (Granted, after the review post came up, I realized that they were talking about Ellen. But I still think this episode proved that Gaeta was not)
