I am not shock at anything any longer. After I read that Tom Delay help get Sara Evans a spot on the show I figured anything could happen. She is a terrible dancer and by the look on her face she knows it. Embarrassing.

Vivica was to high on herself. Her partner was great but he deserved another partner who wasn't just about herself. I have never heard of this person anyway, who is she?

Vivica was in Kill Bill among other movies. It is all perspective because I never heard of Sara Evans before this show. Now I know her as a fat hick that can't dance (which I should actually be able to relate to).

Vivica was in all the flicks about black women, I think the first time I saw her was "Waiting to Exhale" (dragged to by ex-wife).

The judging is getting very predictable based on their comments. They are only slightly more influential (it appears) than the AI judges. I know their vote counts, but it appears a really bad dancer (Jerry, Master P last season) can hang in there for a while.

There are a lot of good couples this time, although they are less "well known" (more on this later)

What? Vivica A. Fox has been an accredited actor for atleast 20 years. She started out in a comedy seried with Patti LaBelle (I hope you know her), and moved on to MANY major movies and televison series. Kill Bill Vol 1 & 2, 4th of July with WILL SMITH, to name a couple. WOW!!

Vivica A. Fox was not in "Waiting to Exhale", or only all Black Female Flicks. See above comments. She is an accredited Black actress.

Waiting to Exhale female cast members were: Whitney Houston, Angela Bassett, Loretta Devine, and Lela Rochon.

Sara should have been the one booted last night. she's a great country singer/performer but she can't dance! Her performance by far was the most lacking. She did not show any growth, looked stiff the whole time, and didn't appear to work too hard at the whole dance, until she got her foot caught in her dress. But every season, based on call in voting, one couple makes it much closer to the finals than they should, at the expense of much better dancers. Urg!

You can get an approximate fan vote standing by extrapolating it from the order they go in. ABC would want to put the most popular dancers last in order to hold more viewers for the whole show.

As for how fan voting counts, I would bet that it would be on an absolute curve (as opposed to bell). The team with the highest number of votes would be 50, then every other team would be based on their scale. Say, Mario gets 10 mil, while Joey gets 9 mil. Therefore, Mario would earn 50, while Joey would earn 45. Add that to the judges score multipled by 5/3 and you'll get the final score.

I don't see why you're so surprised the fan vote counts for so much. The judges almost always score the contestants in the 20-30 range, effectively making 20 points a given thing. That makes the judges part always count for 30-50 points, while the fan voting can count for anywhere from 0-50 (say Mario gets 10 mil while vivica only got 500K).

I stand corrected on Ms. Fox. Checked her bio, and looks like I have no clue. I haven't seen most of what she's been in, and those I have she had only a bit part.

In general I don't know who most of the people are on this time, or what their connection is to anything.

I was so disheartened last night. While I could not stand to watch the woman judge fawn over Vivica I knew that Sara had to go, followed by Jerry Springer (who prior to this weeks performance is absolutely horrid).

I think it takes away from the credibility of the show if we allow this to become like high school and become a popularity contest. In the end viewers will be turned off and tune out. I for one am not interested in seeing a final with Jerry vs. Sara.

That said I used 2 email dresses to make 16 votes, and next week my daughter is using one to vote for Monique.

I think they way they tabulate the scores should be reexamined.

Some folks on the official Dancing with the Stars Forum were crying racism. I'm not sure if that is the case but this does remind me of American Idol when all of the Black girls were at the bottom. I think a lot of people vote along racial lines, and split the vote when they do.

Next week I'm uppping my votes to 24 and my daughter will be voting 8 times.

Am I way too into this show?

The thing that bothers me most about the "Dancing With The Stars" voting system is that you can vote as soon as the show begins. That turns the whole thing into much more of a popularity contest than it is a contest about picking the best dancers. Big Jerry Springer fan? Don't wait for him to dance; cast your votes as soon as the first dancer hits the floor and avoid the rush. Who cares if he trips over his own feet? Who cares if Sarah is the most wooden and tentative dancer out there; after you vote for her you can enjoy the real dancers.

I personally find this show somewhat of a joke because everybody knows its a populary contest. Jerry Springer couldn't dance his way out of a paper bag, the man has two left feet. He should have been voted off the very first night. There is absolutely no way Monique or Vivica should have been voted off based on their dance ability. Emmett is a fine africian american male so women like that (black as well as white)so they will vote for him. Jerry Springer claims he only wanted to learn how to dance so he could dance at his daughters wedding-- I know he has enough money to take dance lesson at a studio. Tell him to stick to his disgusting show and let the real dancers have a chance.

Sara Evans is a country singer. I've always thought of soap opera and country music fans as the most vocal and loyal fans. I think because both country stars and soap opera actors spend so much time with there fans-- they have all sorts of meet and greets/fan fests. So I pretty much expect her to stay in for a couple more weeks.
Now I thought Monique would've have gone between the two (Monique/Vivica), just because I've only heard of her from High School Musical. Though I'm glad she's still in cause I've like her dances more than Vivica's.
I just hope Sara and Jerry both go before Joey, Mario and Monique.
