Jon Stewart"Foley Erect" (unsurprisingly, that garnered a lot of groans from the audience): Mark Foley's a sick, sick bastard and the media had no trouble thinking up ways to make him seem like a sick, sick, sick bastard. That one-handed typing business was pretty gross. Ugh. I probably would have laughed a little harder at the "Nudge, Nudge" clip (actually, I was wearing my Monty Python t-shirt while watching TDS... yes, I have a Monty Python shirt) if I hadn't been twisting uncomfortably in my seat. Ughh. Foley. Gross. I even made the mistake of reading his instant messaging conversation, out of sheer morbid curiosity. Stupid thing to do. Kind of wanted to throw up afterward.

"Sexual Congress": Senior Washington Youth Correspondent Samantha Bee briefly stopped by to explain that pages are actually only the foreplay... The interns are the goodies. Then, Senior Washington Correspondent John Oliver elaborated on Congress' situation in his whole fiasco. "Everyone knows that Congresspeople are assigned to committees based on their greatest weakness! Why else would Senator Ted Stevens, a man more comfortable in the horse and buggy era, wind up in charge of regulating the Internet... which, he believes, is a series of tubes... a series of tubes through which other Congressmen can reach in and fondle sixteen-year olds?" Ha! I loved Oliver's accompanying hand motion...

The night's guest was Senator Trent Lott, whose book, Herding Cats, is now in paperback. Poor Senator Lott was on the spot throughout the entire interview... It was like a fifteen-minute Seat of Heat! Lots of interesting points were made about the Foley case as well as Congress in general... I'm getting really annoyed by the TDS audience's automatic shouting/cheering every time Jon makes a half-serious point. C'mon, calm down. "Seat of Heat": "True or false... George Bush doesn't care about... white senators?" Haha, I liked that one. Lott's response (his house floated away after Katrina) was kind of a downer. I could hear the audience go, "Haha -- Ohh..."

Jon/Stephen: Stephen Colbert was a little full of himself... What else is new? Moment of Zen: Suddenly, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington is really dirty.
