VH1 doesn't seem to get as much of the 'they don't play music anymore' criticism as MTV, but I think they are following a very similar track. And that direction is what brought about Flavor of Love. I was surprised to learn that the premiere for season two of the Bachelor spoof drew 3 million viewers. Not only that, but the audience for the season one finale was nearly 6 million. That is the highest rated show in VH1's history.The NY Times has an interesting article about Flavor Flav and the show. The opinions range from the show being another reality goof to a slap in the face to all people of color. I've always fallen in the spoof camp, putting Flavor of Love in the same category as The Joe Schmo Show. I think Joe Schmo was a better concept. I tuned into Flavor of Love a couple times out of curiosity, but it seemed like the same joke over and over.

As an African American female, I am appalled at how these women can degrade themselves for the sake of entertainment. The Black women especially appear to hold true to the stereotype on reality television that we are agressive and ignorant.
I like to call this "The Bachelor or Steroids." I'm disgusted how the women act and embarass themselves for the sake of "love."
If you want to know about the caliber of people on the show, imagine castoffs from Jerry Springer.
I've never been a fan of shows such as the Bachelor, because finding love should not be a competition. People will act in ways they normally wouldn't in order to "win."
In the case of Flavor of Love, what are they winning? The heart of a man who has both kissed and had sex with almost every single woman in the house. That is except for Boots, who he kicked off once he realized that they only way to love her was to get a commitment.

Flavor of Love is good reality TV. Oh my God! I can't believe how much I love this show.
Flav, surpisingly, it the straight guy on the show. I respect him more after seeing the show. Gotta love '911 is a Joke', but I didn't really care for the person much until now.
I just hope New York and Delishus throw down in the finale. Man, I can't wait.

I think flavor is the craziest person on the t.v show i watch almost all of his shows eveyday.He is so funny he makes me laugh.I just love his shows them girls on there they make me laugh so much.It's just the way they talk shit to each other.I just like all of them on there.I am so happy that Flav picked Delecious.Because New York think she was all that always in people facese.If that was me i would got back in her face.I hope eveything goes good with them two.I can not wait until the the next new show comes on.I just love how they all get down the girls and Flav gets down.
