Wow, what a crazy night for television.
At 8, we not only have the season premiere a recap episode of Grey's Anatomy but we also have the season premieres of My Name Is Earl and The Office. Plus, CBS has a new Survivor at 8, while FOX has new eps of 'Til Death and Happy Hour (if you are, um, watching those shows). Then, at 9, FOX has a new Celebrity Duets, the Grey's season premiere on ABC, the season premiere of CSI on CBS, and a new Deal Or No Deal on NBC.
But wait! At 10, we have the season premiere of ER on NBC, while CBS has the series premiere of Shark and ABC has the season premiere of Six Degrees. Jeez. I tink everyone's TiVo is going to explode at once (and we haven't even mentioned PBS and what's on cable).
What are you watching tonight?

The Grey's at 8 p.m. is just a recap, I got all freaked out when you made it sound like they were airing Grey's against Earl/Office. Crisis averted.

I'll be watching Prison Break, Criminal Minds and Eureka. The Office, Earl, and Six Degrees will probably have to wait until next week. Yes, I'm terminally time-shifted.

I hate Grey's Anatomy and pretty much everything CBS makes. Fox's shows really don't have me hooked and probably never will. Even with the dual tuners in my Series3, my Tivo is going 100% NBC for the 8PM block.

Don't knock "'Til Death" and "Happy Hour." I enjoyed the first two episodes of each, but I wish Fox had put them somewhere else in the schedule and counter-programmed that hour. (By counter-program, I mean program something I don't want to watch!)

Earl and Survivor at 8
Grey's at 9
ER and Six Degress and 10
I would have liked to catch the Grey's recap but new shows are more important and I was going to watch Shark but it gets bumped because my DVR can only handle two shows at once.

CSI lost me as a viewer with the profesional incest arc and I have never been able to get into Grey's so 9pm is either something on cable or watching a dvd.
I need to get into this decade technology wise and invest in a dvr or a better vcr that recognizes digital cable, that way I can record Studio 60 and watch it on Thursdays at 9.

The Office, absolutely - I have been waiting since May. Possibly Shark. Grey's Anatomy was on my lovelist til the disaster of a finale. And part of me wants to check out Six Degrees and part has no faith in it :)

Not sure what we'll do at 8p. The Daughter is a CSI and John Mayer freak so no mystery what we'll be doing at 9p. And it's Shark for me at 10p - the notion that ER is adding John Stamos to the cast is hardly an enticement...thekeez

My TiVo's catching "The Office" and "Shark". I'm probably going to watch "Jericho" and a couple more "Office" reruns (the new one will wait until I've gone through the old ones to the finale again).
"TV Squad" is actually making me change my timeshifting habits, to watch some stuff only a day or two after it airs. Before, sometimes I'd wait a whole week. Now, I want to take part in the conversation, so I've got to stay at most a day or two behind.

I have had major anxiety all week waiting for this night. You see, I'm between homes, which means no TIVO. I don't know how i ever lived without it. I don't watch Grey's, which makes my life a little easier, but the 10 ET/9CT is killing me. How can I skip my beloved ER to watch Shark, one of the most talked about shows of the season? I still haven't made up my mind yet. I'm leaning towards skipping ER after 10 years or whatever the heck it's been. Six Degrees I'll hopefully be able to catch in reruns at some point.
Can't wait for Earl!
'Til Death is actually pretty funny...just can't compete with Earl in my house.

Earl/Office/Gray/Shark. Cause I loves it when sliding a-list movie stars jump into TV. I was really thinking Costner would be the next one. Sort of a JAG goes old, but James Woods beat him to it. Ah, how I long for Richard Dreyfuss's triumphant return to network television!

I have a 4 tuner PVR, so if it's new, it's getting recorded. 'Til Death, Happy Hour (which I should really delete from my "season pass" but I'm lazy and keep forgetting), MNIE, The Office, Grey's, Six Degrees, and maybe Shark. I boycott all CSIs and Law'n Orders.

Thanks to TiVo, I've been saving The Amazing Race since Sunday, so my friends and I can watch TAR, My Name is Earl, The Office, and Grey's Anatomy in one fantastic block. In two weeks though, I'll move TAR to Tuesdays to go back-to-back with Veronica Mars. Who needs network programming schedules?
