Another extended results show, but you can't argue with results. Am I the only one that is wondering why the stars and dancers all wear the same outfits for the results show that they wore on performance night? Not a big deal, just one of those things that makes you go hmmmmm... (mystery dancer hint)Joey and Edyta get the encore this week, and it's well deserved. Then the pros all come out to dance to Rebel Yell. I gotta say, if you have to fill 55 minutes of your hour, this is a good way to do it. They are very impressive when they get to do their thing.
Tom and Samantha are big on saying 'In no particular order', but I think there is a particular order to the announcements of who is safe. This week, I think the order was designed to send a message to Mario that he needs to take the dancing more seriously. The first three safe teams are Sara and Tony, Emmit and Cheryl, and Joey and Edyta. I would be really interested in seeing what the actual top to bottom order is. I'm thinking Sara might have a powerful fanbase backing her.
I wasn't too crazy about Julio Iglesias. Normally I'm a sucker for any cover song, but his voice just doesn't work for me. Cheryl and Maksim do a great job with the rumba though. That and the tango should make for a good show next week. Jordi Cabalero and Claudia Velasco were fantastic in their tango number as well.
Tucker's return was pretty funny. He gets a lot of credit for being able to laugh at himself. Describing kicking him off the show as euthanasia was very funny, and I laughed when he asked Bruno if he is ever disgusted with himself for being such a bitchy little man.
In the end, it comes down to Willa and Maksim or Shanna and Jesse. Willa's dancing didn't warrant being in the bottom two, but that fan vote is really important. I think it's going to take something spectacular to get her back up in the safe zone. And she will get one more week to try and pull that off as Shanna and Jesse were cut tonight.

The Julio Iglasias rendition of "I Want to Know What Love Is" was some kind of strange brew. Another great example of unintended humor a la the Japanese version of "Iron Chef," local TV talk shows and those old commercials with Jim Nabors singing gospel.

Julio Iglesias' singing Foreigner's 1984 hit? That song just doesn't fit with his voice. Lou Gramm can sing that song with his band the best. And why ARE the stars/dancers wearing the same outfits as the night before? They should wear something different EVERY show, cut down on the sameness! It just looks tacky!
