Larry King's guest on CNN last night was cooking show/talk show/magazine icon Rachael Ray. After a truly disturbing segue from talking about the autopsy of Anna Nicole Smith's son to talking to Ray about salad and pasta, they show footage of Ray taking Larry shopping (I swear Larry has never shopped before) and talked about Oprah's non-stop praise of Ray (Oprah, um, produces Ray's show). But the truly odd thing about the interview were the number of bizarre questions and/or statements made by Larry and Rachael. Some of them are out of context, but most of them are bizarre no matter what the context:
"Has your pit bull ever killed anyone?" (Larry)
"That's even bigger than daddy's!" (Rachael)
"Mario, do you own a restaurant?" (Larry, to guest Mario Batali, world famous chef who owns eight restaurants)
"What's a pepper shaker?" (Larry)
"Do you think there's a danger she'll be overexposed?" (Larry, to "surprise" guest John, Rachael's husband)

I'm really getting tired of seeing Rachel Ray. She has about 50 shows on TV right now and its a little much...I like her, but come on..Can she even talk without moving her hands around in grand gestures? Enough already. I change the channel as soon as I see her now.

She also needs to tone down her praise for food that's not her own. I know most food-TV-people gush about how great whatever they're tasting is, but she's so over the top I can't take her seriously. Everything she eats she freaks out over, rolls her eyes, has an orgasm, and then blathers on about, "Oooooh my god you guys, this is THE BEST THING I'VE EVER TASTED". Less is more, Rachael.
Oh, and Larry King is f***ing insane. Always has been.

Sorry, I need to get this off my chest...is it me, or does Rachael remind you of Punky Brewster on 12 cups of coffee? I watched two episodes of the new RR daytime show and WILL NOT watch again. I love her "$40.." and "30 Minute Meals" show and get her magazine, and that is enough of a RR fix. She is just so ditzy and overbearing on her new show. (Note to RR: not being able to make coffee is nothing to brag about!) I just don't think there's enough substance there to sustain an hour long show five times a week. Sorry Rach. Would have much preferred to see some international editions of $40 a day (London, Dublin, Zurich, etc.) versus a dopey viewer jumping out of a plane or some nutcase who won't spend $10 on a salad spinner. Who cares! Even Oprah looked bored! And please, please stop saying "Oh my gravy!" You don't want to be the Jessica Simpson of the food world, do you!

I think Rachael Ray is AWESOME! I think that she has something that very few people on this earth have...and that is the ability to captivate, teach, and entertain almost anyone. She also has one other thing that I don't see too many people with...an amazing ZEST for life! Rachael...you go girl! I hope you get 10 more shows, 5 more magazines, 6 more cookware lines, and 4 radio shows!! You taught me to cook and how to ENJOY cooking. For that...I forever thank you!
Is her appearance on this show going to air again??

Is Rachael Ray allowed to be herself on tv? with her antsy, apprehensive, basket case, high-strung, hyper, impatient, jerky, jittery, jumpy, selfish, nervous wreck, nervy, on edge personality. yeah they can! its tv. If you don't like to watch her theres the remote. There is other channels to watch. Before I say anything else the show is really not suitable for children viewers. she prolly don't realize what she says that makes mom go crazy when there kids are watching Racheal's show but, common shes just like any average joe and jane we make mistakes. should this show go on? I dunno with the way she acts sometimes. shes being herself and in my point of view she really sucks as a host but in the kitchen whether her food sucks or not. I personally say shes all right in the kitchen, it is what shes good at. so... the show should have at least some type of parental guide like Jerry Springer does.
Her show is annoying but interesting too. this is a big project for her and to be on a bigger show shes giving viewers whats " cool " according to Rache there. Many viewers don't like what she says and who she represents on her show, or whats cool according to her or what she talks about. Shes known as the " the girl next door " or " raytard ". She became a media icon like theres no tomorrow. You know what?!!! so what if she did. so what if shes the girl next door or raytard. see viewers that are always wanting to watch what others do. they want to follow examples. she may not have the best morals and examples in the world but she sure can be the next big entertaining drama on tv. and for her fans a show that shows how to cook too those woman and men that don't even know how to cook they can learn from her. It all depends on what people want todo. The show now became the most viewed for her know abouts... FOOD! and Frenzy Sanguine Personality, and talking to celeberties, and to know about THEE RACHAEL RAY. I really wish she calms down a bit and see's how self centered she is. but shes made it there with the help of Opera Winfrey. I don't know what she thinks of her now. but I can surely say that Rachael Ray is as real as she can be. Shes like that AUNT, Grandma, Mom, Friend, Girl friend, ETC you find in a group that are annoying and seem fake but what can you do about it? there out there and they are just really stressed out happy people. as wierd as that sounds. The Woman is just being human and having fun on her new show. let the baby have her bottle. and what viewers want drama.
As for those that made a Rachael Ray Suck community " SUCKTOPIA " I like to call it. You guys say you really hate her. It sure seems you don't. you can't stop talking about her and all you guys focus is on her and how much she sucks. you guys sure like her that much.i mean you all seem to notice every move she makes, know what she wears, what cover shes on, what she eats, or even what is her favorite color. that says allot there. GET A LIFE.

Rachel used to irritate me to no end, and I still cringe every time she busts loose with another "E V O O" (WHY ABBREVIATE WHEN YOU HAVE TO EXPLAIN WHAT THE INITIALS MEAN EACH AND EVERY TIME???), but I think she may be just a high energy person who makes WAY more money than most of the rest of us! Let's face it...the woman is succeeding at what she's doing, and if she isn't good, the overexposure will either kill it or cure it! I could also do without "YUM" or "YUM-O," but Oprah isn't the only one watching her shows and buying her "stuff." Give her a break. She'll mature with time! ...Or maybe her head WILL explode!

Does Rachel really eat all that stuff? She's really a poor tipper. Almost insulting. And, am I mistaken, she's starting to get a little puffy, thick in the waist. Boy, but what a smile!

Aw come on; lighten up. So she is a bit perky with lots of energy. Just pick the shows you like and forget the others. I've always liked her 30 minute meal shows and always got a kick out of the way she would go to her cabinets or refrigerator and find all the right ingedients stacked oh so neatly up front; never had to reach over anything. I just wished I had her staff to organize my kitchen. I'm always knocking over spice bottles, etc., just to get to the proper one.

I think Rachel is a doll..cute and perky. She's very enthusiastic and it comes across as geniune. Unfortunately, she's trying to strike while the iron's hot and I'm afraid she's becoming overexposed. Too many things going on in her career and the American public likes to build you up just to tear you down.

I think Rachel Ray is refreshing. I am a 86 yr. old Grandma and have been around the corner a bit. I be-
ieve most of the peers her age are a "bit jealous".
don't you think? She's genuine and tells it like it is
or what we want to hear and she is very interesting. Most of all you can learn some good points from her and
you young 'uns out there could find some good things to
cook for the people you love or should love!

Rachel Ray SHOULD open burger joints...cause she can't cook worth a crap anyway. So sure , why not open up a fast food "restaurant" and "cook" some more food to give America hips just like Rachel Ray... "yum - o". Chili dog nachos with some death on the side for everyone!!
