(S01E01) I'm not going to put a full review of The Class's pilot here, since I did one last week in an "early look" post. But I'll just tell you one thing: hold on. Like I said in the early review, the pilot is underwhelming, mainly because trying to establish relationships between eight unrelated characters in the span of 22 minutes is next to impossible. But based on the second and thrid episodes, these relationships will get stronger (and they won't try to intermix all eight people for now; individual storylines will develop, which you can see happening in the pilot); I genuinely laughed out loud a number of times during the second and third episodes, which is the hallmark of a comedy I'll stick with.
Anwyay, if you want more info on the show, look at the early review. Full reviews will return starting with episode two.

Yeah. I really wanted to like it, because it was going to be the show I watch as I wait for HIMYM. But the pilot was definitely underwhelming. I'll keep your suggestion in mind and stay tuned for the next two episodes though...

Yeah, you were definitely right about freakin' obnoxious Lina's speech impediment was. Hopefully that improves or I learn to deal, but it was a major show ruiner. Do love Lizzy Caplan, though.

They need to lay off the laugh track some. I almost felt like it was a parody of a sitcom at the beginning of the show.

Prediction: halfway through the first season, it will be revealed that all of the main characters are vampires. (Look again at the promotional picture -- THEY DON'T CAST SHAODWS)

A few laffers, but I was generally disappointed. There are too many characters for a 30-minute show, but hopefully that will get streamlined as Joel says above.
I'm giving it one more week.

The only two people I really liked in the whole pilot were Kat the photographer sister and Perry the 'gay' husband of Holly the news anchor. Everyone else was pretty annoying... especially the Lina the other sister... her nasal voice was terrible!!
I will give it another week, but I'm not sure I will like this unless the other actors in the show step it up.
Definately not even close to HIMYM.

This was the worst show I've seen in a long time. The execs who ok'd it should be fired. Underwhelming doesn't cover it. The pilot should never have been aired. No likeable characters, no funny lines, no interest. I will not revisit this show.

Jonathan, vampires don't have reflections in mirrors. Nothing to do with casting shadows. In fact, if a vampire was in a situation where there would be a shadow, there would be direct sunlight, and he'd be dust.
But it does look like crummy Photoshopping, except for the fact that the original picture is of the 3rd graders. They show in the opening credits the 3rd graders getting replaced by their adult counterparts, so it's already set up as a fake picture, and no one is claiming otherwise.
The show was a lot more entertaining than I expected, especially considering I've never found "How I Met Your Mother" entertaining or involving, and I've tried about 6 episodes of that. I'll give "The Class" a few more episodes to see if it's worth my time.
