Many of you reading our complete listing of fall premiere dates have been posting questions on the whereabouts of some of your favorite shows. For example, poster rach asks 'What happened to the show "Related" on the WB? Is there a premiere?'', while reader Jim asks 'What? No "Invasion"? How does it end? Is this a new trend ... to just terminate an ongoing series?' .
So, as a public service to you, the omnipotent readers of TV Squad, here is the complete list of shows that will NOT be returning to the network schedules this season.
ABC: Invasion (sorry Jim), Sons & Daughters, Less Than Perfect, Hope & Faith, Rodney, Commander-In-Chief (although a two-hour movie may be produced to tie up any loose ends), Freddie, In Justice, Emily's Reasons Why Not, Crumbs, Hot Properties, Jake in Progress (yes, one episode actually aired last season. John Stamos joins the cast of ER this season), Alias, The Evidence and Miracle Workers.
CBS: Threshold, Out of Practice, Courting Alex, CBS Sunday Movie, Love Monkey, Yes, Dear and Still Standing.
The CW (the combined networks of UPN and the WB): The Bedford Diaries, Blue Collar TV,Everwood (despite the letter writing campaign. In actuality, the creator of the series has moved over to ABC.), Living With Fran, Modern Men, Pepper Dennis, Related (our deepest sympathies, rach), Survival of the Richest, Twins, Cuts, Eve, Get This Party Started, Half & Half, Love, Inc., One on One, South Beach, What I Like About You and Charmed. The shows Reba and 7th Heaven, once thought to have been canceled, are returning to The CW. 7th Heaven returns on September 25th, while Reba will return mid-season.
FOX: Arrested Development, The Bernie Mac Show, Free Ride, Killer Instinct, Kitchen Confidential, Malcolm in the Middle, Reunion, Skating with Celebrities, Stacked, That '70s Show and Unan1mous.
NBC: Surface, Joey (Damn it!), E-Ring, West Wing, Will and Grace, Four Kings, Teachers, Heist, Celebrity Cooking Showdown, Conviction and Katie Couric (I know she's not a show, but she was certainly an institution over at the network). Fans of Scrubs and Medium shouldn't fear that these shows aren't on the current premiere list; they are slotted for mid-season.

Wow, Jim! New to the TV viewing experience? This is S.O.P. in the biz. And even if a show ends on a cliff-hanger, that's no guarantee they'll be back to tie it all up.
It didn't start with 'Invasion' and 'Reunion'. Off the top of my head, a recent example is 'Now & Again' - I wish Glenn Gordon Caron would wrap that up in a TV movie someday soon.
But going back, there's 'Soap', which ended with several cliff-hangers. And even farther back, a great summer series called 'Coronet Blue'- like the protagonist, we never found out who he really was before he got amnesia.

So, of all the shows being cancled, Rodney was the only one worth watching whenever I could remember it was on. Rodney Carrington has to be one of THE funniest comedians, and a talented musician, but the FCC regulations don't allow most of his humour to come through.
Pick up the album "Morning Wood" and you'll see.

'Invasion' should not have been cancelled and garnered respectable ratings numbers at ABC. The backlash against ABC has been huge: renew 'Invasion' or many a viewer will be alienated from your decision and never come back to your network.

Why don't you do a version of this for cable? Or at least tell me if "Thief", with Andre Braugher, is coming back to FX?

As one of the biggest TV freaks in my area, I'm sorely disappointed by what the networks are doing. Most disappointing is the cancellation of Invasion. Not to say I didn't see it coming, though. Smart shows which require some degree of thought and imagination never succeed in America. Instead shows like Celebrity Duets, American Idol and Who Wants to Marry A Midget top the ratings. E-Ring, Conviction and Joey were also three shows that I found entertaining and will have no closure. Heist's five episodes also showed promise. The list goes on and on. But I'm afraid as long as Simon Cowell keeps pumping out these musical reality shows, the American public in all its stupidity, will continue to eat them up and ignore everything else.

I really enjoyed Love Monkey and was sad to see it go.
I absolutely ADORED Everwood and am still devastated about its senseless cancellation. What were they thinking?!?! I'm glad that the reruns will be starting on ABCFamily on October 2.

i liked "Kitchen Confidential" and "Love Monkey"......so sad......oh, and lets not forget that both "Emily's Reason" and "Jake in progress" were both canned after one airings.....and "Commander in Chief" was killed because the network decided to change the show-runner...twice. this just showed how nuts people at ABC is, please, would someone tell these networks to stop killing their shows randomly? if you picked these shows up, have some faith in them. don't change nights around (CBS's "Courting Alex" and "Out of Practice") and complained about rating drop! please just let the shows go on further or at least wrap up (Fox's "Reunion")! Remember NBC's "Office" started off with a very low-rated first season?

Hahahah... a nice sentiment, but NOBODY ever takes those threats seriously. Because eventually a show will come on that you absolutely MUST see. Nobody's going to stop watching Grey's Anatomy just because Invasion was cancelled. I certainly know that *I* won't be stopping (and I *loved* Invasion).

Yeah, I love how everyone comes out of the woodwork AFTER Invasion was cancelled... Where was all this vocal support a year ago when the show was actually on the air? I blame it on YOU PEOPLE!!!
Sorry, I have to let my anger and frustration out somewhere.
