CNN's Nancy Grace, the most heinous woman on television, needs to be unplugged. She is a contemptible being who gets her kicks off of lashing out at people and flat-out accusing them of crimes that are still being investigated. Earlier this week, Grace verbally accosted a woman over the telephone about her two-year old son, who had allegedly been kidnapped. The next day the woman, 21-year old Melinda Duckett, shot and killed herself just hours before her interview was scheduled to air. Apparently, at the end of the interview, Grace pounded the desk and said to the distraught mother, "Where were you? Why aren't you telling us where you were that day?" Grace denies any responsibility, saying, "I do not feel that our show is to blame for what happened to Melinda Duckett. The truth... is not always nice or polite or easy to go down. Sometimes it's harsh, and it hurts." So... once again Nancy has decided that someone is guilty. We'll never know if uber-bitch Nancy Grace pushed this mother over the edge. And that's not even the issue. The problem here is Nancy Grace believes she can investigate cases better than the actual investigators. Maybe the mother is responsible for her son's disappearance. Is it Nancy Grace's job to get a confession?

I understand that she wants to be there for the victims. But most of the time she takes it too far. I think she is still struggling with what happened to her.

Nancy goes to the heart of the matter and we need this type of investigative reporting. Remember Mrs Duckett agreed to do the show and no one was twisting her arm.

Nancy Grace is a cartoon, not a journalist. There's no disputing that. However, anybody who goes on her show should be aware of how she is and be prepared to deal with her. She caught a lot of heat for how she handled the Elizabeth Smart interview, too, but did Elizabeth Smart really think she was going to go on anybody's show and not be asked about her abduction? She keeps getting guests to come on the show willingly, so she won't be taken off the air. If people don't like her style of interviewing, they should refuse to be on her show!

That stupid airhead was on there last night, still belittling the mother after she was dead. I hadn't heard about this prior to reading it now. I'm beyond words. Can her, give us more Glenn Beck!

I don't understand anything about this woman - she's a joke. She takes the worst part of every on air journalist and entertainment reporter, wraps them all up in a shiny package and still stays on the air. Gag. Was it the lady in the big red glasses on daytime that was taken to court over the murder of a former guest who was gay and the guy who he said he was in love with? Sally Jesse Raphael? Well, if that case sets a precedent, and Sally wasn't the one to push the buttons, then Nancy Grace should be charged with mitigating this woman's suicide. Time for her to take a tumble.

Ms. Grace is not an investigative journilist or an objective attorney.
I believe Ms. Grace is indeed a caricuture of the truth.
Ms Grace practices drama, emotionalism and promotes her own opinion and herself in her imitation of journalism. without objectivity or stating all the facts. Ms. Grace only uses the facts favourably to her position. Ms. Grace likes to hear herself talk. She yells and screams when answering questions from her guests especially when she disagrees with their comments, which is nearly always. Yes unplug Ms Grace.

Grace is fundamentally dishonest. See the New York Observer story of last March that exposed how she has fabricated much of her back story of how her fiance was slain, the basis of her claim to fame. Unfortunately the article itself is in a paid archive, but you can read the Wikipedia entry about it. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nancy_Grace)

I really can't stand her, she's so arrogant and offputting. the only thing that will get her off the air is low ratings.

Grace is disgraceful - as a journalist and as a human being. My only hope is that she has to live with even a tiny bit of guilt over what this woman did to herself. I doubt it because she really is all about herself, but maybe down the road, this horrible tragedy will intrude on her life in some way.
She has no business being on air. But, we all seem to learn nothing about jumping to conclusions about criminal acts -- remember Gary Condit? Practically crucified for months until it was found she was not killed by him. Then, the current fiasco of the sick guy who confessed to killing JonBenet - another oops for TV journalists (and print ones). They really have no shame and it really all about the ratings.
This is a terrible story and even more shameful is the way Grace has responded to it.

I have never heard of Ms. Grace until a few years ago when her finace was killed. Ever since then she believes herself to be fighting for the victim. In reality she lashes out at people, accusing them of crimes, and takes no responsibility for anything that occurs after her interviews. What happened to a person is presumed innocent until proven guilty? Unfortunately, those who do go on her show and don't know, are embarassed and grilled like criminals. If this mother had anything to do with her son's disappearance, it was not Ms. Grace's job to find out. She is not an investigator. She's entertainment, shocking and dismaying as it is. Ms. Grace, you want people to take responsibility for crimes you think they may have committed. Take responsibility for the role you may have played in this young woman's death. If she did play a role in her son's disappearance, she didn't commit suicide over her guilt, but the way she was treated and accused by you, Ms. Grace. And what kind of justice is that for her son? None.

My problem with nancy grace is not how annoying her voice is or the manner in which she interviews her guests (they did appear to be on the show). My problem with her is that she is SO completely bias (her husband was killed AND she used to be a prosecuter...if she doesn't have a strong lean towards victims then I don't know who does) but uses her opinions in a truth-like manner. This woman should have never gotten her own TV show. She does not practice journalism, she only produces propoganda.

First, let's be clear: Nancy Grace is not a jourmalist (and as far as I know, has never claimed to be one). She was a prosecutor. But I don't know what has happened to her over the years. She has gone from inquisitive host (on her old Court TV show) to some nasty b*tch that looks like she's angry at the world. Maybe she's gearing up for a career at Fox News.

Courtney, When was it proven that Gary Condit didn't have anything to do with Chandra Levy's death? I thought that case was still unsolved.
Also, Tonia, how could you say that the mother committed suicide not over her guilt if she was involved in her son's disappearance but by Nancy Grace's bad treatment? That seems like a generalization that Nancy herself would leap to!

Nancy Grace's voice is grating.
Nancy Grace's face looks as if it's been grated.
At least that would explain that pained expression she seems to constantly have.
I hope Nancy Grace goes away, and for the record, I felt like this well before her most recent debacle.
