From the "What took so long?" department . . .
Sources at the ABC daytime gabfest known as The View are reporting that newest yenta Rosie O'Donnell sparked a number of conflicts on and off the set during her first week on the show. This has caused tension between herself and her co-hosts, including Barbara Walters. If you recall from Bob's review last week, Barbara and Rosie walked hand-in-hand onto the set on her first day. I guess that honeymoon is over.
According to the unnamed sources, Rosie began to stir up trouble during her first appearance on The View, complaining about timing of dropped confetti and the placement of commercials. She openly criticized the giveaway of two-day cruises to audience members during her first day on the show as "skimpy". Well, sorry they tried to be nice, Rosie!
Representatives for O'Donnell denied all of the rumors, saying that there have been no problems on the set and that all of the hosts get along swimmingly. Please save this sentence for future use, as I am sure it will be used repeatedly over the next few months.

She's right about the cruise giveaway. How can you possibly have a 2 day cruise? At least give someone a 4 day cruise.

She's right about a few things, if you ask me! I don't know if I'd make much of these rummors. Though I think Rosie and BW have to get a better feel for how they will relate in-term of position of power.
Rosie seems too limited by the current way things are working. Also some of the things out of Merideth's mouth are going to grow old soon for her. It's like lioness holding back with a cub, but when the cub becomes too annoying watch-out!!

I just don't think the show will make it with Rosie. I thought, even before it started, that Rosie and Joy could not be on the same show. I think Joy is trying very hard to make it work because she seems to love her job on the View. Rosie tries to take over the whole show. IE: today, " I am supposed to be the moderator" indicating "speak only when spoken to". Meredith would never SAY that, she just kept the show running smoothly like they were all equals.

I'm not a Rosie fan by any means. But a host with real opinions is refreshing compared to the continued political correctness of Babs. I respect her past in journalism, but she comes across on The View as an old uptight socialite afraid to offend her celebrity friends.

Well, all of the promos said that they would be shaking things up for season 10....but I don't think they had a clue how much Rosie would stir things up! Am I the only one who was offended by Rosie's statement on yesterday's show about her "cure" for diaper rash? Not only was I shocked that she said to have "a dog lick the baby's hynie (sp?)" but she also said that she used this "cure" for all 4 of her children since "there is something in a dog's tongue...." This disgusted me so much that I promptly sent an email to the FCC! I could tell by the shocked look on Barbara Walter's face that this could be the beginning of the end for Rosie. Yeah!

I too was offended and grossed out over Rosie's remedy for diaper rash. IMO....Rosie is a loud mouth ego manic that has placed herself above the "View".
I will watch the show a few more times to see if Barbra has tamed down Rosie. My guess is that I will go back to watching the morning court shows.

I will no longer watch the show as long as Rosie's on it. In just 1 week she has made 3 statments/comments that as far as I am concerned "Unacceptable"!
1) Diaper Rash
2) Bath and Fur
3) Comparing Radical Christians to Radical Islamists
Frankly unbelievable. This is beyond stiring things up. She needs to be booted or the show yanked.

I am amazed that people keep putting this idiot on TV.
Rosie's big mouth has gotten her in trouble in the past. and I am sure it's just a matter of time before it will happen again.

UGH, ugh, and more ugh.
Rosie is single-handedly proving how insufferable daytime tv can be. Enough already of her and her platforms -- she has stuck her foot in her mouth plenty, and dredged The View's audience to the depths of 'tackydom.'

I had expected R.O. to do exactly what she has done, but thought maybe B.W. and B.G. could control her. It seems as though it is her show now. Absolutely everything seems to bring to her mind something about Kelly or the children. Who cares? Sometimes it appears she is making a real effort to be quiet and then she just explodes, can't keep it in. I am certain B.W. and B.G. see the mistake they have made. They have changed the show, but it's becoming a one woman show. I watch now just to see when she's going to upset B.W., J.B. or E.H. to the point of a screaming match, because you know she will be screaming.

Rosie's second week wasn't so rosy either. In fact, it was downright disgusting! I somehow missed Rosie's comment about comparing Radical Islamists to Radical Christians, I guess I was too busy writing my letter of complaint to the FCC about her diaper rash cure. Nevertheless, the American Family Association did not miss Rosie's statement when she said that there is no difference between the radical Muslims who kill in the name of Allah and Bible-believing Christians. The AFA is now mounting a letter writing campaign to get a public apology. If you are interested in sending a letter or getting more information, you can log on to http://www.afa.net/Petitions/Issuedetail.asp?id=214
I thought the dog comment was bad, now I am absolutely convinced that Rosie's "view" is twisted, morally corrupt and needs to be stopped before her poison spreads any further! Those of you who don't think there is anything wrong with Rosie's "view" probably didn't believe there was anything wrong with Hitler!

I could not beleive it when The View annouced they were hiring Rosie. It has turned out exactly the way I expected it to. Does anyone know what Rosie said about peanut allergies? Whatever it was set off the parents of kids who have peanut allergies.

I am completely amazed at The View. To watch these 4 women non-stop loudly interupt each other is a laugh. That Rosie should be ashamed of herself. She blabs incesssantly about herself, her gayness, her kids, her wife and her trite opinions. She's going to ruin this show. I used to watch it only for Meridith Viera because she seemed so honest and real. I can't believe they let Ms. O Donnell but in with her absurd comment about letting a dog lick the private parts of a child with diaper rash. Thats beyond bizarre !! I'd like to know what her childrens memories of those incidents are. The View needs to politely lose this loudmouth,self-absorbed broad. Oh yea, notice how she alweays has to sit with her legs wide open. Is she trying to show us how much she can look like a man? Yuck !!!!!

Well I knew this would happen. But I can't figure out why in the world would Joy,Elizabeth, and Barbara let Rosie over power them on the show! It sounds like its Rosie's show! She's mostly the only mouth you hear. And most of the things she speaks of no one wants to hear it. I personally think this was the biggest mistake abc has done to the View. Star Jones was saint compared to this one. Big, Big, Big, Big mistake on Barbara Walters part and Bill Guetty. I agree with the rest of you. The View will eventually either have to get rid of Rosie or the show will get cancled!! It cannot continue in this manner. And please would somebody teach Rosie how to dress. After all she's on tv not a picnic in the park. And I'm already sick of hearing about her 4 adoptive children everyday! Who freakin cares!

Rosie made a comment about peanut allergies when a lady was on doing a segment about school lunch ideas and said that more and more schools are banning peanuts because of allergies. Rosie rolled her eyes and said: The way they go on with this, you'd think peanut butter was anthrax!
Well, for somebody who demands tolerance for her lifestyle choices and who supposedly loves children, this wasn't a very tolerant comment. I mean, food allergic children feel isolated enough without anyone rolling their eyes at them. I guess she feels that her children's right are infringed upon because they can't eat peanut butter at school. Well, she messed up that one big time because it's not a question of rights, it's a question of compassion.
I guess after all it's not a big surprise, coming from someone who gets her kids'genitals licked by dogs....

I used to LOVE Rosie on her old show then she started attacking, I think Rosie would LOVE to get kicked off just so she could move on and get signed with another station with her OWN show again, and has used The View just to get publicity in order to get back her own show. Something like Ellen, Ellen had her own show, it got canceled, then she made her come back and her show is big...the difference being that Ellen doesn't attack guests or her audience, so people don't care about her being gay they just see a VERY nice woman, that gets Big stars on, is VERY funny, giving, and ISN'T spiting it in EVERYONE'S face that she's gay, AND walk around with a HUGE chip on her shoulder that EVERYONE can see. Rosie is not going to go ANYWHERE if she attacks her audience. She has to think of WHO is at home watching The View when it's on. EVERYONE I know are the stay at home mothers who are mostly Chirstian, like my self, and don't want to watch again until she is gone, I must say sadly. If there was a Straight Christain Mother said that Radical Lesbains were no different then Radical Muslims there would be Protesting, Parades, Rallies, they would be THAT outraged with the comment, do you see the double standard here?! I will say one last thing I REALLY think Rosie would Love to get the View cancled and move on that woman has a lot of hate in her hate and we will pray for her but I hope for The View's sake they will take her off so we can all start watching again, and The View will NOT be Canceled.
