Good lord this whole thing bothers me. ANYONE buying a book and believing it's anything but fiction needs serious help. Non-fiction books are not real or truth...an author paints the world through his/her eyes and distorts facts to make them more appealing to his thesis and his intended readers. Just like movie documentaries, there's very little reality in a non-fiction book.

Writing is considered an art. An artist can interprit things the way they want. If somone paint a picture of a beach from memory it's no different than if he paints it on location. The end result is the same.

You people are all nuts. It's a NON-FICTION book. It is supposed to be true. What is so hard to understand about that? If you want to write a novel about a drug addict whose life bears a passing resemblance to yours, go nuts. Don't pass it off as being true.
